Transformers All-Sparks: Optimus Prime and Elita-1

Optimus Prime and Elita-1, inheritor of the Matrix and the Last Guardian of Cybertron, gifted with power and responsibility beyond their years, now lead the Autobots against the might and ferocity of the Decepticons, lead by Optimus' own father, Megatron.

Optimus Prime leads with courage, determination and the wisdom of the Primes. He faces off the Decepticons with the power of rocket powered fists and an iron will.

Deep down, he's still Orion Pax, and wishes to see the best in others, even his enemies.

Elita-1 is the Last Guardian of Cybertron, weilder of a cog passed down from Guardian to Guardian since the days of Stormreign and Nova Prime, also known as Nova the Great or Nova the Conqueror. When Optimus gives the orders, it's her job to keep the Autobots in line and make sure they get the job done.

Still Aerial deep down, and misses the quiet days when she could just think and stargaze.

In a monumental discovery for paleontology and the first of its kind "Mummy of a juvenile sabre-toothed cat Homotherium latidens from the Upper Pleistocene of Siberia"

Abstract The frozen mummy of the large felid cub was found in the Upper Pleistocene permafrost on the Badyarikha River (Indigirka River basin) in the northeast of Yakutia, Russia. The study of the specimen appearance showed its significant differences from a modern lion cub of similar age (three weeks) in the unusual shape of the muzzle with a large mouth opening and small ears, the very massive neck region, the elongated forelimbs, and the dark coat color. Tomographic analysis of the mummy skull revealed the features characteristic of Machairodontinae and of the genus Homotherium. For the first time in the history of paleontology, the appearance of an extinct mammal that has no analogues in the modern fauna has been studied. Senator Starscream's siblings for my AU: Thundercracker and Skywarp

Today's warm up! Thundercracker and Skywarp. They're the elder Starscream's siblings, whom Screamer has a rather tense relationship with.

Thundercracker is the largest and strongest of the siblings, and an honorable and professional military man.

Starscream is the oldest, Thundercracker is the middle child, and Skywarp is the youngest.

Beast Fables - Megafauna of the Continents Part 2.

Part 2 of jotting down the great Megafauna of my Beast Fables setting, featuring the regions of Samudria and Ifranika.

Samudria is essentially Fantasy Southeast Asia and Oceana, and all the island critters that essentially call it home. Because of this, evolution takes a lot of turns, including here in a (relatively) low fantasy setting.

Ifranika meanwhile is a continent filled to the brim with Megafauna, from giant birds to the very last Deinotheres. However, it's also a lesson in that, just because it's a fantastical setting, doesn't mean all the animals above are thriving. The raketusk elephant (Deinotherium), is not only the last of its genus and line, but dwindling in numbers.

Transformers All-Sparks: Humble Mining Bot and Family Man, Megatron.

Husband of Codexa and Father of Orion Pax, Megatron is a humble mining bot dedicated to providing as much as he can for his family.

He is a towering and inspiring figure to his fellow mining bots, and perhaps his boss' (Brawn) most effecient miner. His rock-cutting laser cannon, both in robot and tank mode, is a powerful beast.

Has a strained relationship with his mother, Termagax, who taught him much, but Megs thought she was too focused on her work.

Named after the most physically powerful of the Primes as a reflection of his potential.

Surely NOTHING will change this man, right?

Transformers All-Sparks: Orion Pax and Aerial

Two young bots in love, working in the Hall of Archives full of optimism for the future of Cybertron! For surely nothing can go wrong!

Orion Pax is a broad shouldered archivist, one who's heart and sense of kindess is as big as said shoulders. Full of optimism and hope for the future. Son of Codexa... and Megatron.

Aerial works as security for the great hall. Outspoken and honest about her opinions. Comes from a long line of rollers and wheelers, but is the only flier. Apprenticing under Leader-1.

Well. There's two parts of my brain having a fight, the logical and the emotional one. And the emotional one is aiming to do horrible things to the logical side of my brain.

A wise person told me that if my art makes people happy, to escape from the world, then I should keep on doing it.

It's certainly keeping me alive so far.

Transformers All-Spark: A Lil' Slice of Optimus and Elita

Today's warm up, featuring a slice of Orion and Aerial's dynamic once they become Optimus Prime and Elita-1 proper.

Optimus is bestowed upon him the Matrix of Leadership, continuing the long legacy of the Primes on Cybertron. Elita is named after her mentor, Leader-1, who bestows upon her a T-cog passed down from Guardian to Guardian since ancient times (yes this is a tiny bit influenced by @starimusprime 's bodyguard AU as well as story ideas from friends).

But inspite of all that... they're still REALLY young relative to their roles as leaders, and still kinda goofy when they want to be. It helps relieve the pain and tension, knowing that your dad/your bf's dad is Cybertron's greatest Tyrant.

And no matter what, Optimus will always, always be a MASSIVE history nerd.

Additional lore notes: In this AU, the 13th Prime is typically the bot chosen to weild the Matrix, though it does get passed on to other members as well. Nova Prime was the first Prime, and is known as Nova the Conqueror.

Stormreign meanwhile was leader of the original High Guard.

Transformers All-Sparks: Joes and Foes

The final major batch of human characters for my AU.

With the fall of Cobra thanks to Operation Ouroboros (AKA Operation "Make Cobra Eat Itself"), many of the G.I. Joes have either retired or transferred back to their original military branches.

Still, even as the main threat has essentially eaten itself, there's still many who wishes to change the world through the darkest and underhanded means possible. Some are true believers in that the world is a sickly place that needs to be upended. Others are just looking for a quick buck

Gen. Joe Colton: The ORIGINAL G.I.Joe, the man who inspired the creation of the Highly Trained, Special Mission Force. Leader of the original Adventure Team, whenever there was a mission too bizarre or too risky, Joe Colton was there to fight. Most who join, grow up on tales of Colton's heroism and courage. Most Joes, at least early on, felt that the stories are true… but as the foes become wilder and more bizarre, so did Colton's ruthlessness.

Simmons and Fowler both fear he Colton has too much power within the US Government, being considered nigh untouchable. "America's Shadow Emperor" as Simmons would call him.

Col. Abernathy, codename "Hawk": The last of the original G.I Joes still on the field, and a man dedicated to destroying anything in the world that causes disorder and chaos to the lives of man. If a bit too well. It was assumed that, now that Cobra ate itself and effectively no more, Colonel Hawk would finally rest.

He didn't. The concept of retirement is alien to him. He won't rest until every last trace of Cobra and affiliates are stamped out. He's still searching for Destro, wherever he is. He is especially bitter about the fact that everyone, from Duke to Scarlett, decided to retire or move on from the Joes.

Conrad and Ana, AKA Duke and the (Former) Baroness: The pair no one saw coming, but the two most responsible for the downfall of Cobra. Duke is an all-American hero, while Baroness was one of the best Cobra had to offer. However, an incident involving botched intel regarding a general by the name of Miles Mayhem meant that both got captured.

Their experience incarcerated by the bloodthirsty monster had a lasting impact on Duke, for in his mind, with what all that Mayhem was able to get away with, that the system he served was a broken one... and all to willing to throw whim on the bus. Ana remains cagey about her experiences, but the fact is, that her history with Duke on a personal level may extend FAR beyond their years serving either faction... and that Cobra, for all its resources and might, ultimately would never truly what she wants, for Cobra wanted to replace the corrupt "system" of the world with its own.

Being the best of the best, they of course escaped together, and Conrad and Ana went straight to Colonel Hawk. They revealed everything from Mayhem's underhanded ambitions with technology, to all the potential factions within Cobra, Hawk relayed all this to General Joe Colton, and so began Project Ouroboros, the operation to literally make the 'Cobra' devour itself. And it worked like a charm, with the death of Cobra Commander to boot!

In reward, Colton gave Ana her wish: Complete and utter freedom to live her life as she wished, free from any system of control or from prying eyes. Conrad and Ana now live quietly with one another... and surely nothing will EVER ruin it for them!

Lance J. Steinberg, AKA 'Clutch': master of vehicular engineering, and the best (and craziest) driver the Joes ever had. He's now retired, and owns a rather successful auto-repair business. A rather swell guy who, miracle of miracles, managed to live a fulfilling life of a civilian. Serves as Duke's closest pal in retirement. Still unused to the fact his best friend shacked it up with the Baroness of all people, but hey, everything worked out in the end!

The Bad Guys

Destro: With the death of Cobra Commander, and the splintering of the whole organization, it is Destro who holds the title of Cobra's leader... or what's left of the core. He still works behind the scenes as an arms dealer, but now has to further lay low as to not get on the radar of Hawk and Colton. Has a sincere belief, with enough time, he can turn his criminal empire into a real one like Rome.

Has a petulant, almost all-consuming grudge against Duke and Ana.

Silas: Leader of MECH, once simply a cell of Cobra, now a formidable organization of its own. Cold, cunning and ambitious, he sees the world as a failing thing with failing nations, and aims to wrest power from the world with what he perceived has worked for millenia: The most advanced technology and a LOT of manpower. Works with Destro due to his connections, arms and money.

"Joe Colton strives to preserve a failing world and it failing nations. Not realizing that if one sees the opportunity, one has to grasp it with their own two hands"

Dr. Meridian: Protector of Mankind! Haunted by an accident by a creature he swore is real, he dedicates his life (and work) to making sure that mankind can protect itself from such potential threats. He believes that adopting technology to improve the self vs. Dr. Sumdac's innovations with robotics technology to help mankind. Works most closely with Silas, and with Destro out of convenience.

Joshua Joyce:

Destro, Silas and Meridian all have hidden elements. Destro runs the underground, Silas tries to be incognito as much as possible, and while Dr Meridian has a reputation, he's not exactly well known by the public.

Joshua Joyce on the other hand? Everyone knows him. He made your favorite app, your favorite phone, and so many, MANY things. He's the cool inventor type! Or at least that's the image he deludes himself on, as most of his "innovations" were actually done by others. He just patented the stuff.

On the other hand, there's been a lotta rumors of neat new high tech gear in the underground, he just knows people to come in contact with. He missed out on Sumdac's robo revolution, and his ego demands that he be a real revolutionary in tech!.

Transformers All-Sparks: Titans of Industry and Heroes of SCIENCE

In Transformers All-Sparks, with the fall of Cobra means an new time of relative peace, and also new opportunities to change the world.

These are the folks that are the movers and shakers in the background of the AU, from robotics to energy. Also Inhumanoid references!

Titans of Industry

Isaac Sumdac: Of all the industries revolutionizing the modern age, few have made an impact that Sumdac has made with robotics. Almost every college and university grad aims to one work on Sumdac System's wonders. Everything from production lines to seamless advanced prosthetics can be attributed to Sumdac. In spite of all this, Sumdac remains dedicated to both his work and trying to be a good person first and foremost. In a world of cutthroat and self serving men, Isaac has a genuine belief in making the world a better place with his inventions. Where and how he was inspired to really push for robotics remains known only to him. Lives in Detroit.

G.B. Blackrock: The man with a hand in almost every energy revolution out there, Blackrock is the owner of Blackrock Enterprises, the company responsible for the production and construction of everything from fossil fuels to renewables in this AU. A strong belief in investing for the long term means that he's very much into investing into alternatives to fossil fuels, not just for energy, but for everything that derives from petroleum. Despite the scope of his company's wealth, he's only "just" a millionaire, for whatever he makes, he donates to causes he really believes, mostly out of a sense of guilt. For what kind of man would he be if he has all the wealth in the world without trying to make it better? Travels a lot, but his company's HQ is in Portland, Oregon.

With the only two unambiguously good business folk outta way let's get to some REAL villains!

Prometheus Black: The OTHER great industralist of Detroit, with far less scruples and morals than Sumdac. A great showman who always makes a new innovation known to the world, and spearheads much research and development in biotechnology and biochemistry. Resents Sumdac, for even he has to rely on Sumdac's work, especially in the field of agricultural sciences.

Blackthorne Shore: A minging magnate and mogul of all things digging up the soil, has an intense rivalry with Blackrock for kneecapping much of the coal trade. Ruthless, with a dominating presence. Currently trying to dig deep into the Earth to try and find… something. Information leaking out since the fall of Cobra indicates a wealth of unknowns that he must find and leave his mark before anyone else. He's not getting younger after all.

World Science Team

In a world… Where the fall of Cobra means the unleashing of unknown variables and technologies to the wider world… one team is dedicated to making sure that they not only don't fall to the wrong hands, but also make all this mad science less mad. They are… WORLD SCIENCE TEAM.

Elise Presser: The team robotics expert. Brilliant in her field of study, but prone to absent mindedness and reckless behavior. Wanted to change the world in her own way, since every robotics whizz is either working FOR Sumdac or wants to bring him down.

Dr. Herc Armstrong: A guy who seemed to be genetically engineered to be a pulp novel scientist and adventurer come to life. The great decisionmaker, outspoken and incredibly courageous.

Dr. Brian Mindbender: Dr. Mindbender was once a peaceful Orthodontist, then an experimental pain relieving device electric brainwave stimulation damaged his mind, causing him to be much more aggressive and easy angered. He joined Cobra out of the promise to "fix" his mind, but Cobra never did, so when Cobra ate itself, he surrendered peacefully, trying to get somebody to hopefully alleviate his pain. As much as modern medicine tried, they never could get him back to his pre-accident days, but at the very least he wasn't going to die, which was was the real risk of his untreated condition. He is World Science Team's resident neurologist, biologist and of course, orthodontist. Cuz someone needs to look over teeth!

Dr. Kenneth Onishi: Dr. Onishi, MASTER OF ENERGY SCIENCES also train enthusiast. Has theories and hypothesis about EVERYTHING. Big Sentai fan.

Transformers All-Sparks: Nevada Friendlies

Fleshing out the other human cast to compliment the main ones, featuring some folk from many segments of the franchise!

The AU from the human side mostly begins in Jasper, Nevada, and much of the action starts in the state.

Miko and Raf are Jack's best friends. They're basically exactly the same as their TFP counterparts personality wise. Miko's a bit bummed that Jack spends a bit less time with them now that he has a girlfriend, but hey, at least he's happy!

Lori Jiminez and Coby Hansen are members of the school's workshop class, and originally came from Colorado. They bicker a lot (usually it's Lori getting flabbergasted by Coby's antics), but they truly love each other deep down. Based off, of course, Lori and Coby from Transformers: Cybertron.

Close by is Mission City, a bustling metropolis that has become one of THE places to go to pursue a career in engineering and energy.

Mission City University features such minds like Prof. Arkeville and Doctor Malto. Visiting the campus is Dr. Ezra Greene, eccentric scientist from an island called Griffin Rock.

Prof. Arkeville is a brilliant if out there man of SCIENCE. He's a master of neurology among other sciences, and thoroughly believes the validity of hypnosis technology. Has a genuine Sumdac Systems prosthetic arm.

Dr. Malto teaches culture, history and other anthropological subjects in the University. He loves nothing more than sharing the importance of passing down culture from generation to generation. Is a fantastic cook.

Dr. Ezra Greene travels America in his iconic solar car to teach the nation about SCIENCE and all the wonders of science, with Mission City being one of his stops. Has a show produced, directed, written and recorded by himself. Wows and terrifies people with some of his zanier experiments.

Sgt. Robert Epps, MCPD, is an Army veteran and man of determination and courage. He's an example of an everyday soldier engaged in a firefight vs. Cobra... and won. Now serving as an officer in Mission City's police department. He keeps other cops in line, making sure they remember that they protect and serve first and foremost.

Alexis Thi Dang. Government Intern. She aims to be hopefully be president one day, but first wants to get an understanding of local politics before aiming higher. Has a bit of a problem with her own ego due to her ambitions, but at the same time, is always trying and hoping to find the good in others.

Spike and Sparkplug Witwicky. Sparkplug is the de facto patriarch of the great Witwicky clan, and a man who has considerable knowhow in all things engineering and maintainence, from cars to buildings. Spike is Sparkplug's son, and a guy who inherited all of Sparkplug's engineering smarts and then some. Good natured and a loyal friend through and through.

Mikaela Banes, Alice and Sam Witwicky: A group of University students that stick together almost like glue. Mikaela is a car enthusiast who've made it mostly on her own after a rough childhood. The most confident of the group, and de facto leader. Alice is an everygirl who's studying history in Mission City U. She's just trying to do her best and not get into trouble. Sam Witwicky is the goofiest member of a the great Witwicky clan. Sparkplug set him straight to not be a try-hard. Being a goofy dude is a-okay, being a good person matters more.

Transformers All-Sparks: Lords of the Arenas

In my AU, gladiatorial combat is part of life in Cybertron, and can range from "glorified bare fist boxing" to "pop culture gladitorial matches" kind of violent.

In the opinions of high society, these are considered "low brow" entertainment, but for many it's the only viable path to stable employment, and remains very popular.

Cy-Kill is the master of arenas from Kaon to Iacon, both legal and less-than-legal. He prides himself as a pit fighter who rose to the top and is one of the wealthiest bots in all of Cybertron.

Overlord is the circuit master of Tarn, a reflection of perhaps the greatest center of all things military in Cybertron. A living weapon of unsurpassed deadliness, they are actually two robots in one, a married couple by the name of Giga and Mega. They combine their arrogance, sense of superiority, and fighting prowess into one super bot.

Killmaster is the champ of the Iacon circuit. Convicted for deliberatley causing a collapse in a mine, he was condemned to the pets, and proceeded to become champ by being merciless, cunning, methodical and being oh so massive.

Straxus is lord of Polyhex, not just as a pitfighter, but also its actual ruler. Ancient rules of might makes right and right of leadership allows him much leeway in one of Cybertron's industrial hearts.

Razorclaw is the champ of the Kaon circuits. Unique in that after winning his title, he just left... because it was never his intent int he first place. He simply liked the fact that Kaon produces a lot of warriors and malcontents that make for good foes, but now only visits occasionally to fight challengers and would be usurpers.

Transformers All-Sparks - Intellectual Heavyweights (and two exceptions)

Happy Halloween for those where it's still October 31st!

Continuing my Transformers All-sparks AU, featuring some of the brightest minds in all of Cybertron. With the exception of Lt. Starscream and Terrorsaur.

Senator Starscream is a RESPECTED politician and member of the Cybertronian Senate. A master of many sciences, but found his love with political sciences. He is manipulative and gifted with much charisma, but is also prone to ill-temper and impulsiveness. Has three sons, and disappointed in each for not being the perfect successor for his political dynasty.

He named all his sons Starscream because his ego demanded it.

Lt. Starscream is the brute of the family, and is only his mind for all things military. He is here to show he's the best jetbot around, and show off his aim. He is mostly based off Bayverse Starscream (aka Doritoscream)

Youngstar is the scientifically minded son. He simply just seeks and wants approval from dear old dad. Has a close friendship with a member of a Jetfire from the Skyfire Clan. He is mostly based off Armada Starscream.

Terrorsaur is the youngest son who so desperately wants to prove his worth to his family, and even changing his alt mode (with some help) just to prove a point that he can succeed even in his new alt mode. This only angered the Senator.

Cryak is Starscream's mother. A love of myth, folklore and ecology, but believes she failed as a mother due to Starscream's enormous, all-encompassing ego.

Termagax is THE most well known scientist of the age, building great wonders and even figuring out the process of combination completley independently. Tends to move on and throw away works that, in the eyes of any other Cybertronian, would be considered a gift of Primus himself. Has a strained relationship with her son, Megatron.

Jhiaxus is old. REALLY old. So old he probably was responsible for establishing much of the great centers of learning. Considered a has-been whos position of Cyberton's greatest mind is taken by Termagax.

Tarantulas is perhaps the greatest mind of CNA analysis and biology. He is also someone you don't want to meet in a dark alley. The man is considered dangerous by other scientific mind. Helped Terrorsaur with his new alt form out of altruism, honestly!

Slashertown 2024 Compilation

Continuing my annual tradition of Slashertown for Spooky month! Four characters were done this month, but two were from last year!

  1. They come from Beyond! The Out-of-Towners are the greys, and once you see lights in the sky, try to avert your eyes, lest you catch their attention. Xar Joroth would be a supernatural being among his own kind, such is his might, for his own consider themselves the perfect organisms. He scours space for powerful foes to hunt, and Slashertown is full of 'em!
  2. The Nightkin is a beast of darkness. Avert your eyes when you see red in her forest, or else she WILL get you. The Huntsman and his Beloved, a pair joined together for eternity. The Hunter looks for things to devour to help his wife, for when she was but a mere mortal, it was as if though nothing could nourish her.
  3. Good Cop and Bad Cop. Officer Grimsby is built like a Gorilla and just as strong, but much like the great ape, knows when to be gentle. All he needs is a shield and a flashlight to fight slashers and protect the town he loves. Brad Walton looks the part of a lantern jawed all-American hero... but beneath is a brute that uses the influence he has on the town to do whatever he wants... because sometimes there are some regular people even scarier than any slasher!
