the body positivity movement needs to start moving hard into including disabled bodies and this is what I mean by that. yes, it was a good step forward to change the rhetoric from “your body is a good body if it meets these arbitrary aesthetic standards” to “your body is a good body because it completes these tasks for you” (ie: walking, eating, laughing, hugging, etc.) but that rhetoric is still not fully body positive, because it excludes bodies that do not do these things. the same as saying how we need to “focus on healthy bodies not skinny bodies” sounds good at first, but it completely misses the point that unhealthy bodies deserve to be appreciated too. disabled bodies are still beautiful and still fundamentally good, not because “your body is kind to you so you should be kind to your body”- because not everyone’s body is kind to them. but all bodies are still good bodies because they are what houses your soul. your body is what allows you to exist and live your life in whatever way you live it, and for that reason, it is a good and beautiful body. your body is what your loved ones see when they look at you and the love they feel for it as an extension of you makes it a good and beautiful body. your body doesn’t have to look a certain way or behave a certain way to be good. it is good just for being here.

Autistic people have rich and fulfilling lives & allistic people do not, and will never, have the perspective necessary to judge our qaulity of life for us.
haha, I thought this was just saying that allistics do not have rich and fulfilling lives. and I was all set and ready to agree.

somebody hit my sideview mirror yesterday, and I forgot about it. I remembered after I started driving, and so, naturally, I fixed it by rolling down the window and smacking the mirror with my hand as I was merging onto the interstate at sixty mph. I had to resist the urge to turn myself into the police for a ticket.
character concept: two people who have been reincarnated for thousands of years and have always found eachother but instead of being in love they just fucking hate eachother

i want more fantasy stories where wizards are treated in that culture the way hackers are treated in ours. like ‘and then the wizard spelled the door open. he spelled the guards to be on the good side. he spelled all the food to be poison. he spelled the mayor to give everyone a medal. he spelled his friends to be invisible. he spelled all the swords to explode.’ and anyone who’s actually done any spellwork ever is just sitting there quietly frustrated like magic doesn’t fucking work like that, it’s 90% fussing with numbers alone in your room and 10% lying to people.

It is constructed by white patriarchy as a supremely fragile identity requiring attention and care. It is out of the construction of this delicacy the criminalization of men of color is born.
….
In many ways, many white women do not reject patriarchy as much as they claim. White feminism quite squarely revolves around dominant tropes of white women being supremely desired and desirable, delicate, and unable to victimize (while characterizing women of color as toxic and perpetual aggressors).

“chuffed doesnt mean what you think it means”
it means exactly what i think it means its just some stupid word that literally has two definitions that mean the opposite thing
what the hell
This makes me really chuffed
This post is quite egregious
Well I’m nonplussed by this whole post.
goddamnit.
all of you go to hell
And you wonder why i am boggled at times
These are called contronyms! A word that is its own opposite.
Why the fuck do these exist
One theory is that the sarcastic use of the word became exceedingly prevalent and because another dictionary definition.
Are you telling me that we were such sarcastic shits it literally changed our language.
no, ya think?!
