Ok, I've pushed back posting these long enough XD This autumn I gave myself the challenge of drawing my favorite episodes of the seventh Doctor's run, so here they are.

Drawing these helped me with learning a lot about traditional media I like and it helped me improve in general in making finished pieces.

I think my favorite is the drawing I made for Curse of Fenric, that was also my most recent drawing, in December I think (that one is all in watercolor).

Then you have the Battlefield drawing. That one, media wise, has watercolor, a little bit of gouache and soft pastels. I love Morgaine's hair! I did it in December and I kept going back to it.

I probably did the Ghost Light drawing in November? That one has watercolor, gouache for the white parts and pastel crayons. I don't like how the faces turned out a lot because I went too realistic but not enough, and it's in this awkward half semi realistic half cartoony uncanny valley place. At least in my perspective. But my perspective is often warped.

And then, the Happiness Patrol drawing XD That one was the first (and oh boy does it show). I used gouache, a medium I'm not familiar with, and I think I did it in September/October. I had given up on the drawing at some point, then resumed it. I think you can see that I had improved between drawing Seven and Ace, because the color isn't as patchy and muddy, but there wasn't a lot to salvage XD I added a couple of details in pastel crayon right before posting because I've been procrastinating on them for months.

Anyways, these drawings are a little time capsule of my art in the second half 2021 and I'm really proud of the Fenric one XD

Past, present and future collide as the Thirteenth Doctor meets classic #DoctorWho companion Ace – in the first epic novel from the woman who played her, Sophie Aldred! ✨🚀
‘At Childhood’s End’ will be released in February 2020 👀
The Time Ladies

Once, a girl called Ace travelled the universe with the Doctor – until, in the wake of a terrible tragedy they parted company. Decades later, she is known as Dorothy McShane, the reclusive millionaire philanthropist who heads global organisation A Charitable Earth.

And Dorothy is haunted by terrible nightmares, vivid dreams that begin just as scores of young runaways are vanishing from the dark alleyways of London. Could the disappearances be linked to sightings of sinister creatures lurking in the city shadows? Why has an alien satellite entered a secret orbit around the Moon?

Investigating the satellite with Ryan, Graham and Yaz, the Doctor is thrown together with Ace once more. Together they must unravel a malevolent plot that will cost thousands of lives. But can the Doctor atone for her past incarnation’s behaviour – and how much must Ace sacrifice to win victory not only for herself, but for the Earth?
