Guys I have some unfortunate news. I’m rly blown away by how fast we reached the 80k goal for Mohammad’s and Shaima’s fundraiser, but unfortunately Wafaa was told by the fundraising organizer that not only does gfm charge a 3.5k platform fee, but it also deducts 2k for international transfer. Please please donate to the fundraiser and help Wafaa’s family reach their new goal of 85.5k. They would not be asking for it if they didn’t truly need every last cent to evacuate to safety.

Also want to stress that this is absolutely out of this family’s control. We have seen how Palestinians are getting exploited every day, from Egypt’s exorbitant evacuation prices to these gfm fees, and it really shows a gross disregard for securing human lives over anything. Children are on the line here and I’m worried sick that people will simply abandon this campaign. Please keep the momentum going until they get where they need to be to evacuate.
