November 24, 2023 - As part of the prisoner exchange between Palestine and Israel there were heart-breaking scenes, as one Palestinian hostage was released after 11 years of solitary confinement, and seemed unable to recognize his family or understand what was going on. We should all be aware that Solitary Confinement is torture, whether it happens in an Israeli jail cell, or in the US, or in the EU. It is torture and it happens every day in our own countries too. i got this ask last week and honestly, it's way too big and complex of a topic for me to address
so it's convenient that a man i respect tremendously, FD Signifier, released a video 2 days ago about Police & Prison Abolition.
it is close to 2 hours long. it is also the best explanation or breakdown i have seen of police and prison abolition in several years. FD is incredible and deserves your views if you have the time to spend. i'll defer to him to best represent my feelings on the matter.
