there exists no mainstream element of the revolution in Myanmar upon which we can project our hopes and aspirations for revolution against the liberal systems we are faced with in the West. Perhaps even out of the mainstream, you would be hard pressed to zoom in on any particular group and highlight them as the example of a revolutionary alternative. That doesn’t change the validity of the struggle the people here are waging against the dictatorship.

"Rohingya advocacy groups have said that, on 05 August, the Arakan Army (AA) attacked thousands of refugees gathered at the beach in Maungdaw Township of Rakhine State in Myanmar with drone bombs killing about 200 of them. Two Rohingya activists told Maktoob that this was one of the deadliest days of the ethnic cleansing of the Muslim community since 2017.
Arakan Army is a major force in the Brotherhood Alliance, a coalition of rebel forces fighting Myanmar’s military junta. They have been accused of killing more than 2,000 Rohingyas in Buthidaung, from the end of March to May."

🇲🇲 #Myanmar: PDF forces in Dawei have released footage of a drive-by shooting attack against a junta checkpoint in Dawei. PDF fighters have made extensive use of these tactics in the past, hitting police and military checkpoints throughout Myanmar.
🇲🇲 #Myanmar: Myanmar’s junta carried out a massacre in the Sagaing town of Myinmu this week, killing at least 30 civilians. Junta troops also set a number of homes on fire during the attack, with villagers discovering the victims placed in a pile upon returning to the town.

The BDF - Brother Defense Force a PDF group under the National Unity Government, attacked Junta forces that were in the Alaungdaw Khathapa National Park in Salingyi township, Sagaing on the 11th of August. The PDF can be Swe utilizing multiple small caliber, Hand-made mortars in one of the increasingly frequent artillery usage by PDF groups in the Sagaing Region.
Many of these home made tubes are very very dangerous and unsafe which is why they duck and cover when a round is expected to go off. Additionally it is informed that these Junta forces were illegally deforesting protected teak forests.
