Then he called in and dismissed his killing by saying she was just a regular person.
He says, "Just write a check."
"It's important to understand the job of being a cop is extraordinarily easy, especially when they have no legal obligation to solve crimes, protect people, understand the law, or be beholden to it in any way.
It isn't even particularly dangerous, but it's in the interests of the cops and the people who support them to maintain the illusion of an extreme, racialized threat which only they and their extraordinary powers can stop.
Otherwise they would be recognized as just a racist street gang."
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) is probing the events surrounding a recent arrest in Winnipeg that left a woman with a serious injury.
