"Some of the same old lies told as propaganda in previous wars are now being recycled. Israeli media are claiming to have found beheaded babies at one of the sites raided by Hamas.
This should be presumed false unless proven otherwise. Remember those proven false claims during the first Iraq War of Iraqi soldiers unplugging incubators in Kuwait?
These sort of stories are even older than that, much older.
My father fought in WWII. He told me that the Americans accused the Japanese AND the Japanese accused the Americans of roasting babies on bayonets. He also told me this was thankfully false on both sides, it was just hot air from propagandists trying to whip up support for the war among their general public.
In WWI the Brits and Americans accused the Germans of literally crucifying a Canadian soldier. That too was total crap, as was a German claim of U-boat sailors being thrown alive into a destroyer's boiler furnaces."
