ok but now I’m just thinking about what Link joining the ranks of the Champions would have been like... he already knew Mipha, but that was when they were kids and who knows how long it was between the last time they saw each other as children and when they met again as Champions? he’d practically be meeting her for the first time again. and aside from her, Link was completely new to all the other Champions. he might have also had a passing familiarity with Zelda since he was a knight before he got the Master Sword, but it’s clear from the memories that they weren’t close at all at the very start of their relationship. idk I’m just very curious and I don’t have all of the memories yet so my imagination is running wild...

I also wonder how he got the Sword at first? did King Rhoam find it wherever it was last put to rest and put out a call to all of Hyrule to see who could draw it? or was it a more secretive thing where he was handpicked as a candidate for the Master Sword? aaaaAAHH I’m so curious!!!

anyways. now I want a fic about Link meeting all the Champions for the first time (and technically, meeting Mipha again for the first time in years).
