oh my god i definitely need to draw tailgate and strika interactions now. <3

#strika doing the ‘eyes on you’ motion at tg when tg tries to hold cyclonus’ hand. tg is drenched in sweat in .2 seconds

but imagine if tailgate were incredibly unwise enough to do it back to Strika

all i can think of is that scene with korra and lin beifong, but instead of shrugging strika is mentally compiling a list of convenient accidents to stage

alternately, it turns into a standoffish/rude/muderous gestures arms race until cyclonus notices and turns his baleful glare on the proceedings

thought about TFA cygate:

strika does not trust tailgate at all. she’s already lowkey suspicious of cyclonus’ weird behavior in general but she is ESPECIALLY suspicious of this tiny little autobot that seems to have bewitched her second-in-command into acting even weirder (aka listening to music and going on outings for “””fun”””)

tailgate is sad that cyclonus’ mom doesn’t like him and tries very hard to earn her favor ;-;

meanwhile, cyclonus is in his teen goth phase and doesn’t care if strika doesn’t like tailgate. tough luck, strika, the wastebot’s staying.

ok but can we have a bit where Strika and Tailgate wind up having to save Cyclonus’s ass? because yassss

oh my god <3 Tailgate tags along by hiding in Strika’s back kibble where she can’t feel him very well, she finds him while they’re well en route to rescue Cyclonus from wherever he got to and it’s too late to take him back to cybertron. Tailgate ends up saving the day with some basic knowledge about dangerous combinations of cleaning chemicals, finally garnering strika’s grudging approval.

cyclonus is IMMEDIATELY distressed when he sees TG because why did you bring him here it’s dangerous! and strika’s like OH SO YOU DON’T WANT YOUR PET AUTOBOT, THEN? I SEE HOW IT IS. and she holds tailgate out of cyclonus’ reach while cyc tries to grab him

all in all, a good bonding experience for all of them

Grumpy mom and her misbehaving brood yeesss. Though if Tailgate doesn’t watch out, he’s gonna become a real bomb disposal bot. Strika likes to teach people to be useful… imagine the shitfit Cyclonus would throw over that

well, now that Strika has accepted Tailgate (and is entertaining the theory that he possibly genuinely likes cyclonus and isn’t a spy trying to take Team Chaar down from the inside) he must be taken in hand and whipped into a proper soldier!! strika would allow nothing less than an almighty warrior to court one of her men, but since cyclonus seems to have made his choice clear it’s up to her to get things in order and make Tailgate into proper Decepticon amica/conjunx endura material.

in any case Tailgate already has a talent for explosive cleaning-based chemistry and a tendency to lie, so those are good places to start! she is eager to teach him the arts of subterfuge. tailgate is a bit intimidated but he warms up to strika’s lessons quick.

cyclonus is a bit miffed, but undeniably approving of tailgate’s new skills. so long as the lessons don’t interrupt his and tailgate’s movie nights.

TFA Rung looks, if possible, even more harmless that MTMTE Rung. So my brain immediately kicked up the thought that “Hey, nothing is that cute without ulterior motive.” Followed closely by “That is a very Decepticon thought,” and rounded off by “Well, it’s not like TFA Rung has any sort of backstory anyways.”

So, how Rung was er, adopted by the Decepticons and what came of it, a story in ? parts and without a title because this was so much simpler and shorter when I started 0w0′
