i got all the fin struts sewn in!!! woo!!! now i have to figure out how to actually make it fin-shaped + how I want to finish the cut edges when the fin-shaping happens... the fabric’s very delicate so it’s prone to shedding bits of material so I can’t NOT seal it. so I better figure that out now lol

anyways i”m working on saguaro sue and i can feel one of her leg joints weakening, i can FEEL IT but my animation is due next wednesday and I canNOT fuck around with making a third sue puppet so she’s just going to have to deal

update: i just realized i May have lightly stepped on her over the weekend and that Might be why her leg is so bad

update: i have painted 12 sets of 5 tiny tiny dowels in varying proportions of green and yellow and my arm hella hurts but ohhhh man. once I’ve rested a bit I might start actually making the flowers tonight. (probably not bc I’m nursing a headache and I wanna do other things but still)
I need to make at least 12 different iterations of head flowers for Sue and I’ve been cutting tiny pieces of dowel for like an hour now #saveme
update: I accidentally broke her arm off

additional update: i have now apoxie’d her shoulder to put it back together, so that’ll have to sit overnight. but lucky for me I’m already DONE foaming everything, so it’ll be ok to work with by next evening! (and in the morning I can probably get away with re-gluing the foam I had to cut during puppet triage)
