It’s come to my attention that it’s LGBT Pride Month, so here’s some cute lizard / poodle girlfriends havin a good time 

Hey, it’s Pride Month! Here’s a comic I’ve been working on for a while, that I wrote in the wake of figuring out some stuff about being aromantic. Just some thoughts and feelings I have about it, and some silly memories that made me go wow, that makes a lot of sense now.

Pride Month, Transformers style!

Today, Transformers enjoys an increasingly healthy amount of LGBTQ representation thanks to IDW’s More than Meets the Eye comic book, but back in 1990, in the Japanese-exclusive series Transformers: Zone, the franchise took its first big step in this direction with the introduction of Cain (with the green hair, on the left) and Akira (on the right). Though communicated only through implication, the furtive glances, flushed faces, hand-holding, and shoujo sparkles left no room for misinterpretation - these two boys were the first gay characters in Transformers media!
