Ferret Brushbug anyone?
- Him doing a little jumpy dance and making happy Brushbug noises every time he's excited
- Him stealing and stashing away anything that smells remotely like magical ink. Lost a wand/notebook/inkwell/etc.? You'll probably find it a week later, underneath a couch or a bed. If he's caught, he'll sprint away with the item still in his mouth.
YES long body, tiny legs, happy bouncy critter: the brushbug is a ferret in my heart! I love the way he goes on little adventures in the background, like this scene in chapter 18 where he climbs up Qifrey’s back before making his way across the room to Riche.
