I adore this show too much to not do a big tribute work for it! I really love these characters a lot, and watching this show fills me with such a child-like feeling and inspiration for animation I haven’t felt in a long time! If you haven’t given this show a try you REALLY really should, and support it while It’s still airing <3

it’s just a little idea that I doodled up recently! I was trying to fill space in my old sketchbook, and I was like, “what if Screwball Jones brainwashed Wander?” like, that was literally my thought process. xD and since it was just a quick little idea, I actually have very little planned out in the AU aside from the idea that Wander is brainwashed into being Dr. Screwball’s assistant, helping Screwball spread his “happiness” around the Galaxy while subconsciously starting to fight the brainwashing…

and THEN! everybody piled on and started drawing fanart! SO MUCH FANART for just a little doodle… which is amazing!! I really appreciate all the fanart I’ve gotten, it’s all so wonderful and I love it.

but yeah! that’s the AU. I haven’t figured out if it’d be set before Wander met Sylvia or Hater and Peepers or anybody, or after, so I’m just leaving it open for people to play around in~ as long as folks are having fun, that’s fine with me. :)

Here’s a little fancomic I drew (I know it’s terrible quality, sorry) based on nakklepiggy’s brainwashed Wander AU.

In the comic, Wander realizes he’s been brainwashed this whole time, and finally stands up to Dr Screwball Jones. It features Screwball being punny, and Wander being a badass without even hurting anybody. I got the idea, and I couldn’t help myself.
