sevika didn't get to say goodbye to silco. she didn't get to say goodbye to isha. and she didn't get to say goodbye to vander/warwick.
reed so real being concerned about people putting more focus on the structure rather than the action. he's definitely that friend who rewinds to make sure you really did catch the 0.5 seconds frames that change everything lmao.
skye potentially being the inspiration rune is such a sick theory because she was in fact the only scientist in that lab who was willing to actually sacrifice her life's work to save others.. her nervous excitement while she's about to share months of studies with her mentor who btw "inspires everything she does" (like hmmm okay), her notebook (coincidentally blue & gold) held close to her heart as she practices what to say ..but then she walks on viktor getting swallowed by the hexcore and doesn't think twice before jumping to his rescue.
and maybe the hexcore felt that. saw her sacrifice. the no hesitation. the purity of her heart. saw the countless hours she spent researching a way to bring to life the original dream both jayce and viktor failed to deliver. and captured her soul for the greater scheme. she was the missing piece, the footprint needed to guide viktor and help him wake up the arcane.
ngl it looks really cosy in there
Oh my...
softly chuckles as i add him to the [he got hotter when his life fell apart] folder
mel leaving jayce's legitimate question about their miracle unscarred survival unanswered is very odd to me. she only responds with a vague "there's no sense to these things, jayce", as if she doesn't know what saved him.
the possibility that she remains clueless while walking around in a golden armor capable of shielding a literal explosion seems quite unlikely. but why not tell the truth then? is she scared jayce would turn on her if he knew she only reached for him and let viktor to his death?
the episode opens with the explicit confirmation that what we saw shine at the end of S1E9 wasn't just a nice visual effect.
but why would mel not say what it's about???
if i had a nickel for each time i fell for a gender ambiguous metaphorical jesus, i'd have two nickels, which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice.
we need to talk about this also cause my man jayce got DUMPED. HARD. and by arcane jesus too like. poor dude can't catch a break...
arcane s2 act 1 was phenomenal. the character development in this show is unlike anything i've ever seen. also everyone is so gay. like sooooo gay. thoughts and prayers to my fellow queer pals who gasped in unison all around the globe when the lesbians officially leagued
you ever see a character and go "wow, this character is so nuanced and morally gray! their actions and morals don't always align! they're complicated and make bad decisions and behave painfully realistically! I hate them and love them at the same time and that's on purpose! they're so cool! .... fan content is going to misinterpret them completely, isn't it."
