Huh, that's interesting!

The first thought that crosses my mind is Eclipse ending up with a seal siren baby for the reasons mentioned above and then coming across his Y/N. You would get him and his child (our child), which is a total win in his eyes!

You have no idea what to do with a baby siren seal though the darling little thing is adorable. Eclipse sets the kid in your arms. He thinks you all make a lovely little family :)

Eclipse would attack—but not in front of Sedka. He'd let the siren leave the encounter only to hunt him down later. The siren abandoned his mate when she was vulnerable during pregnancy and he abandoned his child. As far as Eclipse is concerned, the leopard seal mer should have never come back if he wanted to live. (That's not to say that Eclipse doesn't have personal reasons to make sure this siren doesn't appear to his new mate and his adopted child.)

Y/N would be angry and defensive, depending on what her old mate is up to. She wouldn't let him take her baby or hold her—he already made his choice. After the leopard seal siren leaves, Y/N would be so full of rage at the old wounds reopened and that gall of his to appear again. Eclipse would soothe her and Sedka, and plot what he intends to do next.

Y/N would experience terrible memories at the start of her pregnancy due to fear of being abandoned again (though she does a lot to hide this fact.) Eclipse can sense her anxiety and is a very doting spouse, finally able to provide for her during her pregnancy as he wasn't able to last time. She's eased into his reassurance, slowly but surely.

Eclipse is so excited! He tells Sedka that she's going to be a big sister, which makes her excited in turn! Y/N is happy, too.

The baby is beautiful and healthy. They name him Ruaq. He has a lovely combination of his parents' traits with sleek fur over his tail in deep silver and dark gray colors with a few spots like his mother. His upper human half is sheeny and sleek, dark and pale, and he bears markings like his father. He has different colored eyes of red and one that's the same as Y/N's.

Sedka is a very good older sister.

Oh yeah, Sedka's first word will be mama! As for the second? Oh, both Y/N and Eclipse would become dead still, eyes wide, before Sedka makes more grabby hands and frustratedly calls out dada again!

Y/N wants to be mad but it's just so sweet coming from her daughter! Eclipse, of course, is so cheeky and waiting expectantly for Y/N to let him hold Sedka. At this point, Y/N feels comfortable enough to trust Eclipse and would allow him, too, even if Y/N is still pondering how attached both she and Sedka have become to the orca siren.

Sedka thinks her mother gives the best cuddles for sleepy time and warmth because of her momma's fur, but that usually means Eclipse is also cuddling her mother, so it's like two cuddles in one, which Sedka loves.

YEAH THAT SOUND IS TERRIFYING!!! I love how alien but horrifying it is; just hearing it sets my heart on edge!

Y/N growls with that vigor, not the exact same sound, but it feels terrifying (all but to Eclipse) and that's why it spooked her baby, Sedka ;-;

A/N: I'm on such a baby kick, it's embarrassing. I can't get over the family fluff and thinking of Eclipse being a doting father is turning me feral. I do love the dynamics with Leopard Seal Y/N as she is a fierce mama. It's good to have someone finally going toe to toe with Eclipse, even if the outcome is still clear. And of course, there's a fluffball baby!

Little note again: the reader is female and will be referred to by female terms/titles such as mother. Also, please make sure to read all the tags/warnings as this is a mature fic and will contain an unhealthy dynamic and toxic traits.

Selkie Y/N is uber protective of your seal coat and your baby's, and escaping to keep both of yours safe would be a desperate effort, but Eclipse knows when prey you get skittish, looking for a way out. With your baby in your arms, you don't get far on human legs and your pup is too young to go into the water without significant aid and protection.

It's a bit feeble in his mind, you trying to leave, but that just speaks to how you belong with him.

Eclipse catches you, gently, as you are holding your baby, but Eclipse still makes it clear that he thinks you might need to stay closer. You and your pup. His growl is right in your ear. He'll remind you to be good. Then, not letting you go, he'll swim you and your pup back to familiar waters, where you're going to stay. He'll see to it.

The first thought that entered my mind was Eclipse holding a fluffball in each hand.

He's so thrilled you have little chicks with you! He knows that it's very difficult to tend to children, and you looked exhausted. You have two little mouths to feed and can't risk letting them go anywhere near the ice and snow without your warm and protective feathers keeping them safe from freezing, so he's more than delighted to help you. It's his new little family, too. It doesn't matter that they're not sirens, he'll raise them strong and take care of you.

You would be terrified at first, unable to move quickly with the chicks in your arms. You're trapped on the ice's edge, unable to move deeper inland with the siren threatening to sing a song to make sure you don't leave with your babies.

Slowly, however, Eclipse proves himself careful and delicate. You allow him to hold one chick while you hold the other, and it gives you a little break. Twins are unheard of in harpies, so it's taking all you can to keep them both safe and alive, and the orca siren is devoted. You still fear what he wants with you and your chicks, but between the many fish and pretty pebbles, you slowly start to trust him to protect your babies.

Ahhh, I'm so happy to hear that!

THAT'S ADORABLE AH! Eclipse is so excited to be a father and then holding his little one, little little one, he's utterly enraptured! This baby already has him wrapped around their little finger. He coos and sings to the babe and adores swimming back with food to come upon the utter vision that is his darling ribbons with their child in their arms!

He's absolutely delighted to scoop them up and hug both of them tight, knowing that they're so lovely and all his.

Oh, I've had several asks about a leopard seal Y/N!

Your a feisty one who does not take kindly to anything or anyone sniffing around your kid. You hide your pup in a snow hole you dug out yourself. If you come back to find a an orca siren scooping your baby out of the snow hole, it's an immediate launch into defending your baby--even if you know that an orca siren can very well take you.

Eclipse would enjoy the struggle if only for the venom and fierceness your striking back with, and so defiant! But he eventually gets you pinned despite the fight you put up--he's still stronger and bigger. He would only let you up (but not let you go) once he nabs the baby and puts the little one in your arms. You can't fight when you're holding your kid but that doesn't mean you're not threatening him (which he finds adorable.)

Needless to say, leopard seal Y/N would be the toughest for Eclipse to ease and persuade and convince to let him hold your baby, but, he's nothing if not persistent.
