I'm fascinated by an idea of how a person can become evil (in other words, I like my villain arcs), and when I think of songs that would make a villain origin soundtrack, I think of Become the Beast by Karliene, the lyrics of which are: "do you feel the hunger, does it howl inside / does it terrify you, or do you feel alive?" and Glitter & Gold by Barns Courtney "do you walk in the valley of kings? do you walk in the shadow of men who sold their life for a dream?", imagining an omniscient narrator talking directly to you, the protagonist. I've written a few short stories in the second person, in fact for a while it was my preferred narration. One story of mine that is my fave is about a you who has been thought some suffering and now living a lonely life, until you meet the guy of your dreams who showers you with everything your heart desires--and then you find out that there is, of course, a catch. "You didn't think this would come without a price, did you," he says and I, the omniscient narrator lean towards the camera, head tilted, look you in the eye and say: "Did you?"
Listen, there is not a time when I don't need a villain.
Galvanize by The Chemical Brothers is a villain song.
World, the time has come to (devil's voice: push the button). World, the time has come to (devil's voice: push the button). World, the time has come to (devil's voice: push the button). My finger is on the button (devil's voice: push the button). Accelerating beat, warrior chants.

Can't find anywhere what the hell the meaning of the AWOLNATION song Seven Sticks of Dynamite is, but as I once said, every song can be a villain origin song if you're feeling evil enough. I mean, seven sticks of dynamite, fuse the morning, fuse the night, it must be about blowing shit up, innit?
