My blog is no 'safe space'. It's a danger zone!
Just wanted to ask: How was London? I hope you had a good birthday and a good November.
Oh, London was amazing! The trip turned out much better than I expected. I did it mainly to challenge myself, bc the notion of visiting the capital still awakened so many feelings of anxiety in me, so I told myself, enough of this, you will got to London for a few days and put an end to it. You know how they say, do what scares you, so I did--and now it no longer scares me. Though I wasn't as nervous as when I went there 2 years ago for that convention where I met Sam Claflin (that was the most nerve-racking thing I ever did in my life and also the best, and that's why I keep going back to it, not bc I want to brag; but at that time I had no time, or even mind, to do any sightseeing). Now comes the painstaking process of deciding which photos to post on my Photoblog. Sigh...
Incidentally, on the day of my birthday, I got off the tube at Piccadilly Circus and walked around and to Leicester Square, and thought, oh, this is cool they have a theatre at every corner, and then it hit me, of course they have a theatre at every corner, this is the West End, stupid! I had dinner at Pizza Express and went to see the play Duchess of Malfi starring Jodie Whittaker.
Thanks for your ask!

This was fun. Except there's no wheelbarrow emoji. Scandalous!
Since out birthdays are coming up (so happy we share a birth month) what's your favorite thing about birthdays?
Nothing really. I don't think about birthdays much.
I suppose I could say that bc I always take a week off around my bday (sometimes longer) it's not having to go to work. I'm always just at home on my own. This year will be different, though, bc I'm taking a short trip to London. I've lived in this country for 21 years and not really seen anything of the capital, so now I finally will.
nothing more powerful than a girl with a monologue going on in her head all the time... alone in her room... plotting... planning

Currently reading: collected works of Flannery O'Connor (which I thought was a short story collection but it's actually huge, it contains novels too... no wonder it's taking ages to get through)
Last movie seen: Bagman
Currently watching: Rings of Power
sweet/savoury/spicy: savoury with a bit of sweet
Current obsession: Sam Claflin (as always), The Count of Monte Cristo

Last thing I googled: New Brunswick bc I saw it in the film and was confused bc it's a Canada province, but turns out it's also a town in New Jersey.

Top 10 actors and actresses?
I haven't got a top 10, I'm afraid. I have enjoyed, and keep enjoying, watching many actors/actresses on screen and keep being blown away by some fantastic performances, but it's only Sam Claflin whose career I actively follow.
Fortunately, I actually like myself and I can be alone.
Not a soul in this world competes with my solitude.
god forbid a girl be a little controversial in her lifetime
Linda. 40s. European. Welcome to the delicious mess that is my Tumblr blog. Agatha Christie, L.M. Montgomery, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek, Marvel, self-improvement, writing, photography, quotes. Sam Claflin. (A lot of Sam Claflin.)
Cat lady. Anti-heroine. Madwoman in the attic. Part fairy godmother, part problematic aunt. I support women's rights and women's wrongs. Heretic and frequent strong opinions haver. That one Sam Claflin fan who hates Me Before You and Love Rosie.
Adults only please. If you see me post something that resonates with you, great. Interact if you want to. If not, move along, nothing to see here.

I write original fiction (short stories) primarily, and post them on the above mentioned Wordpress writing blog. I don't write much fanfic, but I have written some pieces for Billy x Camila of Daisy Jones and the Six, as I cannot accept what the show has done with them.

What I mean when I say I have a low cringe threshold. I can watch anything, never mind how horrible. (Excluding gore this time as I've not had much experience with that.) But I cannot abide cringe.
Example with Sam Claflin: I can watch him multiple times in The Nightingale. But I physically recoil over the scene in DJATS where he tries to kiss Daisy in that corridor. If I ever rewatch, I'm skipping it.
due to personal reasons im evil now
Man, I'm starting to hate the word "yikes".
I've been on Tumblr for 10 years. (My oldest post is 10 years old today, but the anniversary might have been earlier as I deleted a lot of old posts.) 2014 was the year that I started watching Game of Thrones and also the year I got into Marvel, both big things for me, even though I'm hibernating on them at the moment. They'll always mean a lot to me.
I've had a terrible sleep schedule for so long now that I don't think I can ever fix it. But I manage. I have a full time job (I work from home, apart from an office day about once a month) and while I'm far from someone to be featured in some inspirational lists or whatever, I'm doing okay and have a functioning life, so if you ever worry that this will hold you back, don't. It's not that bad.
(Obviously, try to have a good sleep schedule in the first place, lol.)
the age-old question: "is my beloved mutual in a totally different time zone to me or do they just have a terrible sleep schedule"
