Bruh I swear the worst chant in WWE history has to be “you can’t wrestle”. Rewatching Cena’s match with Punk at Summerslam 2011 and these fuck tards in the crowd chanting that shit as if Cena didn’t put on a damn clinic the month prior at MITB and was currently in the process of putting on another one. And would continue to do so for the next years to come after that. The irony of ugly and sweaty assholes planting their ass in a chair telling the trained athlete and WRESTLER he can’t wrestle….loser energy.

Since Cena's retirement tour announcement, I've been going down memory lane and I'm watching his Royal Rumble match against Rollins and Brock in 2015 and my god how times have changed. Fans were really out here chanting "Let's go Lesnar" over Cena and Rollins tf was wrong with people lmfao

Hot Take in Wrestling

Going down wrestling memory lane the past week or so and my biggest hot take would probably be that Daniel Bryan was never that great.

I’m sorry, he did not entertain me one bit. The whole YES movement was insufferable. Great technical wrestler, but entertainer? Nah. Fans ruined countless segments and moments because Bryan wasn’t being pushed to the moon.

Funny thing about that though is I’ll never forget a month or so into his title run in 2014 a few boos started trickling in and him saying “this must be what Cena feels like”. Had he held the title for much longer they would have turned on him just like they do with literally everyone 💀

I need Cena to fix his bald spot. I cannot watch that thing for a year straight on WWE television. It’s so painful to look at.

Since Cena's retirement announcement I've gone back and watched some of his matches from way back when and my god, he didn't get the credit he deserved (and still does deserve). The IWC loves to harp on how he can't wrestle and is carried in his matches, that man held his own and had more bangers than most wrestlers including those who are seen as the best technical wrestlers. Of all the chants he's received over the years, the "You can't wrestle" ones are quite possibly the worst and most hurtful to watch as a fan. That man didn't deserve any of that shit. I get most were tired of him and didn't want him winning constantly, but he was and is a great wrestler who knew wtf he was doing in the ring. His in-ring psychology is one of the best if not the best.

I’m sorry but if you genuinely still think in the year 2024 John Cena isn’t in the GOAT conversation or isn’t worthy of that status you’re delusional. Let the hate for this man go, it’s so tired and old. You can not like him as a wrestler but to blatantly ignore his impact on wrestling and think he’s not worthy of being on the mount rushmore of wrestlers…be for real.
