The first creator kits launch today! These include Myshunosun’s Cozy Kitsch and Trillyke’s Sweet Slumber Party. What's different about these kits? Although these kits are being published by EA, they were created entirely by simmers within the sim creator community. I hope these creator kits are the first of many. I'd love for this to lead to more opportunities for our hardworking CC creators.

Hmm, I covered all of my sims... except, of course, little Miss Tambara Elise. She's still a toddler, but I'm sure I can come up with something.

  1. Tambara is one day away from becoming a child, but she's already a miniature adult princess in her head.

2. Tell her she's cute or pretty, and you have an instant friend.

3. She's a daddy's girl who still seeks comfort from mommy when sad or afraid.

4. Although a dog and a cat are in the household, Tami is partial to cats and prefers Luna over Hiro.

5. Play is Tami's favorite activity. She's always asking kids or adults to play with her.

I'm so late on this, but here goes...

1. I'm a California girl living in a Tennessee world (I didn't make that up...I got it from a T-shirt). 😆

2. I'm about 5'8" and was always one of the taller girls in school.

3. I'm a science geek with a degree in Psychology and I'm currently a home school mom who gets to teach, or more accurately relearn 🤣 all the science I forgot over the years.

Thanks so much! It was really sweet of you to send this message 🥰. I have no specific inspiration because I draw it from many things. My inspiration can be anything from music to real-life situations, conversations, TV shows, movies, other simmers, my readers (feedback like this!!), and 'what-if' questions. I could continue, but I hope you get the idea.

Gameplay is a huge inspiration. Sim interactions and reactions fuel much of what I choose to write about.

I enjoyed the Sims Medieval so much that I wrote a 132-chapter story using the game, entitled Tales of the Middle Ages** (when I was obsessed with the show The Tudors), starring a black queen named Chalyela. The first chapter or two was a little rough, but once I learned more about the game mechanics, I was on a roll and didn't stop until over a hundred chapters later.

I attempted to write a sequel to the story when the expansion came out, but there was an issue where the game wouldn't launch on specific computers. A fix was released years later, but by that time, I had lost all motivation.

If a similar series were released for the Sims 4, I would probably attempt the sequel again (maybe after watching The Tudors for the 3rd time 🤣).

Hey everyone! I just wanted to post a quick message to let you all know that there will be no new Banks Dynasty updates this week. I'm doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work to prepare for Dub and Maia's trip to Ciuad Enamorada. This includes creating some new builds for the world as well as working on a new story interlude where I will be collaborating with a very talented fellow simmer and gameplay writer. I have two features that I'd love to see in all worlds...

  1. The high school feature in Copperdale. I want to build a high school in whatever world my sim is living in because it's strange that sims must go to an entirely new town to attend high school. A high school should be a new lot type, not a one-world feature.
  2. I'm seeing it pop up in the newer worlds, but I'd love to see the hike/jog-together feature extended to all worlds, including the old ones. Better yet, it would be better as an interaction that can be used anywhere and not just on a specific trail. If sims are part of a 'club,' they can walk together, but that's not quite the same as the hike/jog feature that first showed up in Mt. Komorebi.

I've been a part of the Simblr community since 2011. In that time, I've seen simmers, trends and countless amounts of drama come and go. How have I survived for so long?

  1. I stay completely out of drama and especially simmer bullying.
  2. I post what makes me happy. Trying to keep up with the trends sounds exhausting.
  3. Although it seems to be losing popularity, I still like to comment on people's posts when I enjoy them.
  4. I know I cannot be everything for everyone, and that's okay. Not everyone will like my posts, and it doesn't hurt my feelings.
  5. I really enjoy seeking out other simmers who post in a similar style to mine. It keeps me from comparing myself and what I do to others who post in a completely different style. However, I still love following all sorts of simmers.
  6. I won't say that I don't look at the number of notes and reblogs my posts get because that would be a lie. I do look at it, but I've learned to focus on appreciating every single person who takes the time to like, read, comment on, or reblog my posts and builds. A handful of people is just as meaningful as hundreds. Imagine 8 people in one day, in real life, walking up to you and saying you're doing a good job. That's a lot of people when you look at it in those terms.
  7. I'm always open to learning from other simmers. I have a good friend here who has taught me to relax and let go of things that don't 'spark joy.' I used to maintain a rigorous posting schedule, but now I'm perfectly okay if I don't get a post up every day.
  8. My inbox is open. I can be a little shy and awkward, but I have met some great people here on Simblr, and even in my real life, I refer to them as friends.
  9. Showing love to others is very important and makes being a sim blogger so much more pleasant. If I see a great post, especially one with very few notes...best believe it'll end up in my reblogging queue.

Storytelling Secrets

I was tagged by @igglemouse! Thanks so much 🥰 So, I'm guessing I'm supposed to tell some secrets about upcoming events in my story?

  1. Each generation of my Banks Dynasty has its own theme. I already have an idea for Tambara's generational theme, which is based on a song.
  2. I have a new collaboration with a talented sim gameplay storyteller in the works. I can't wait to get started on it. I'm in the process of moving Dub's story in that direction.
  3. I hope to see Generation 5 of the Banks Dynasty explode with new babies, but that will be left up to gameplay. I have yet to introduce three new babies (four if you count an unexpected little addition, but technically, he's in the 4th generation).
  4. I've been worried about how languished Dub and Maia's relationship has felt lately, which naturally happens when Sims become new parents. Still, I am hoping to rekindle things very soon.
  5. Speaking of Generation 5, if all goes well, I have a big surprise planned for those who have been long-term readers of my simblr and are familiar with my Wallace family. I hope my gameplay makes it happen, but it's still far off.
