Our newest game in development is called Kiss/OFF: an action-packed visual novel game about a bizarre intergalactic dating show. Six Contestants have been Involuntarily Volunteered™ to pair off and SQUARE off in a supercharged dating royale. Whichever couple has the most passionate, *magical* kiss at the end of the three days wins the Ultimate Prize: They get to go back home to their families! The losing team gets the Ultimate Second Place Prize: Horrible, fiery death!

It's time to BARD HARDER!

Okay, I know you've all seen a million memes about horny bards seducing monsters and dragons, but hear me out... What if there was a dating game about it? And what if it was... Wholesome?🥺

We made BARD HARDER! in 2020 as a way to practice making games in ren'py, but it ended up becoming so much more than just an exercise! We're so proud of this silly little game of ours, and wanted to share a bit more about it. Here are some things you can find in BARD HARDER!...

♥ MULTIPLE ENDINGS ♥

You can get different endings and achievements based on how well you flirt - both in the game world and outside of it! Unique story paths make the game different with each play-through, which can take 30 minutes to an hour depending on your reading speed.

♥ NEW FRIENDS ♥

During the DM's bathroom break, you can choose to hang out with one of your three TTRPG buds - Presley, Nia, or Alden. You can learn valuable things about their characters (who all look suspiciously like their players...) or even snag secrets about the DM!

♥ ORIGINAL MUSIC ♥

Our writer/composer wrote an original soundtrack for BARD HARDER! It features three magical Bard Songs, written in the three genres of music: Power Ballad, Lullaby, and Polka.

We’re Shark and Pelican Games, a teeny-tiny game studio specializing in ridiculous games with off-the-wall concepts and sexy, stupid hooks. We’re made of two people, Alex M. Lee (artist - @mypurplesummer) and Ethan Ness (writer/composer), who started making games during the pandemic and found it impossible to stop. (Our cat/HR manager Dr. Pepper is also part of the team, but he sleeps through most of his working hours.) We love visual novels, tabletop RPGs, and indie games of all kinds!
