Happy Palletshipping Day! I wanted to do a little something for today, and here is a new chapter of my story. I know it’s not much, but I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for everything :)
This is probably going to be the last Palletshipping moment we will get from the anime (I hope I am wrong and we get to see Ash and Gary return in the new anime kind of like Red and Green did in Sun and Moon for their “Alola Honeymoon”).
Anyway, Ash ended his journey in the anime today (I am not the biggest fan of the open ending mostly because of my headcanons of what being the Pokémon Master represents, I’ve written a few fics where Ash is the Pokémon Master after all). But still, I will forever be thankful for Ash’s part in my childhood. I fondly remember the days when I woke up for elementary school as a kid and watched the anime during breakfast.
By the way, I think it’s obvious but I will say that my blog (along with other Palletshipping blogs around) will not die with the anime ending, there is still a lot of content we all have prepared, especially with Palletshipping Day around the corner.
For now, do not be sad that the anime ended, let us be happy that the anime happened and gave us precious childhood memories (and of course, Palletshipping content for the ages).

Hello everybody! I’m very excited to share a Christmas-themed episode of the Ash Blogs! I know it’s been a while since I updated this story (life has been... life haha).
Anyway, thank you for all the support you gave this story this year (which is still far from over, I’m really excited to continue writing more about it next year, just bear with me a little more ‘til I can update it more frequently).

I’m not the biggest fan of soccer but since the FIFA World Cup Final is today, I just thought of making this 🤣🤣 I can imagine Ash with all his pokémon in the living room, making a lot of noise as they watch the game, while poor Gary tries to go back to sleep (we all know he will eventually give up and just join Ash).
i'm still so enamoured by the fact it's GARY of all people asking ash how much closer he is to being a pokémon master. i could think of no better character, rival or not, to pose that question to ash. the friend and rival that's been with him since before their journeys even began, the guy who has subtly pushed ash to prevail and grow in one way or another from day one. the friend who is sharp enough to ask the real questions to ash that are going to propel him to greater heights. heights that gary believes ash can reach, with a kind of cast iron conviction only the great gary oak could show.
gary knew ash would conquer leon, confidently smiling through their match, and he knows ash will go on to conquer whatever he sets his mind to. ash will continue to search diligently for what it means to be a pokémon master.
their journeys are not over. they're just getting started.
gary and ash will always remain in each other’s futures. and we might not see it on screen but gary will always be there for him, and ash will continue to be the one right behind him. except this time he won’t be struggling to keep up with him. ❤️
I wasn’t planning on making a comment about this, but Shigerussato’s words inspired me to elaborate a bit.
I’ve been feeling under the bridge after reading the news about Ash’s role in the anime ending but at least I’m happy they made Gary have a “small” yet very important role in the last part of Ash’s journey before he becomes the Pokémon Master. Him asking Ash the “question” of “What’s next in your journey of becoming the Pokémon Master” just solidifies their close bond and how Gary has always influenced Ash’s big decisions, and most likely ever will.
