When that post’s been popping up on your dash with increasing frequency for the past two days, and you can’t write two consecutive sentences making sense, but are not exactly immune? I’d say it’s about to become prompt №7
They had a grand total of maybe two scenes together in all three movies but damn it, we got the great hug we needed.
21. for the fic meme
Oooh.... this is fascinating to think about!
#21. What is the one fic that got away?
I actually had to go trawl my drafts folder and I think the honest answer is my pandemic fic. (And this got really long, so the rest under the cut.)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! I cranked this out as quickly as I could (sorry for how janky it is). they decided to stay in together (Wedge Antilles isn’t great at deciding on a costume, so he went as a pumpkin). @starwarsbookclub
so i bought this heir to the empire micro toy set that was made in 1996 and there’s some real treats in here
so first of all, the entire reason i bought it, it came with a TINY THRAWN WEARING A CAPE
and then there’s 2 other tiny figures, wedge antilles and a brunette mara jade with her hair in braids, who is wearing an outfit that has (as far as i know) never appeared any any other media with mara jade.
and then it also came with lady luck, a skipray blastboat, and the chimaera (the boring legends one with no cool symbols on it obviously)
also it included information on how to join the star wars fan club. what a deal!
Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads in the galaxy far, far away
For a “5 times” plot bunny assaulting my brain this week around work on Katana.

“Is it true you got a family recipe from the Yuzem?”
Luke looked up from his drink, away from the shards of ice melting into the syrupy amber of the expensive liquor. If it had been anyone else, he’d have straightened. Smiled. Greeted them by name, carefully hiding his quiet resentment at having been found and his rare moment alone intruded upon.
Mara preempted such niceties, though. She walked past him to the deepest part of the shadows that cloaked this small, out-of the way balcony. He heard the click of her glass on stone as she set her drink down and the faintest rustle of fabric as she settled herself on the balustrade, her back to the wall. She receded into the dark, almost as if she weren’t there, but where the night had been cool and empty there was now a pulsating point of warmth in his periphery.
“Yes.” He didn’t bother to ask how she’d learned such an obscure fact from his misadventure on the Eye. His gaze drifted out over the city. Stone dug into his elbows and he remained leaning against the rail, undignified and unbothered by it. “I was trying to get them out. I just — they deserved to live.”
That wasn’t what he’d meant to say but, as soon as the words were out, more followed. They came out as a torrent before faltering into juttering dribs and drabs, then breaking into a messy rush again.
Mara said nothing. In the dark, Luke could feel her receptiveness but found himself blessedly free from the weight of her gaze. Eventually, he fell silent. The minutes stretched but no discomfort surfaced.
Footsteps broke the quiet — boots on tile, intentionally loud to announce themselves. Mara’s sense withdrew, became almost unnoticeable.
Luke turned and stepped closer to the light spilling from the arched doorway.
“Sorry to be the bearer of bad news,” Wedge sounded genuinely regretful. “But they’re looking for you.”
“Of course.” Picking up his glass, Luke reached out in the Force, his sense grazing Mara’s with quiet, wordless gratitude. Then he followed Wedge back into the bright noise of the party, his unburdened heart finding the in-rush demands infinitely more bearable than they had been before.
Some characters from Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn Trilogy!
The two most eligible bachelors in the galaxy lol.
Something that definitely happened at some point (what were you even thinking??)

Oh sorry I didn’t mean you. I meant the people that say only Luke looks good.
ah ok then get the hug in motion this time, anonymous Wedge lover ;)
The disrespect for my boy Wedge is too much, I mean he ain’t no Luke in the flight suit but I don’t think Iella minds😏.
I said “the handsome Denis Lawson” anon! No disrespect from this corner. Have a hug, Red Leader.
