rewatching the death scene again and ugh this moment is so heartbreaking because arthur is pretty much dead but when merlin shouts his name his eyes open again for a split second and merlin begs arthur to “stay with me” even though it’s already too late. arthur is already gone, but in that split second he gave merlin some hope only for his eyes to close again straight away.
i hate everything.
