Arya Stark + Disney ↳ Mulan
Every Disney Film: Mulan (1998)
«The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.»
I’ve heard a great deal about you, Fa Mulan. You stole your father’s armor, ran away from home, impersonated a soldier, deceived your commanding officer, dishonored the Chinese Army, destroyed my palace, and… you have saved us all.
You don’t meet a girl like that every dynasty.

Ooh, I think my bunny slippers just ran for cover.
- I’m sorry. I treated you like a girl when I should have treated you like a warrior. - I am a warrior, but I’m a girl, too.
I’ve heard a great deal about you, Fa Mulan. You stole your father’s armor, ran away from home, impersonated a soldier, deceived your commanding officer, dishonored the Chinese Army, destroyed my palace, and… you have saved us all.
One of my favorite Disney scenes of all time.
You don’t meet a girl like that every dynasty.
“They always said I would be happy the second I found a husband. I believed them. I visited the matchmaker, where I was lined up with the other maidens, and they painted our faces and dressed our bodies in silk dresses, and then we were inspected by all the eligible men in my village, hoping to impress the richest or handsomest ones. That wasn’t happiness. It wasn’t honorable. It wasn’t even fun. When I fought during the Ogre Wars, I finally felt useful; important. I wasn’t sitting like a rag doll on a child’s shelf, waiting to be picked up. That was happiness.”
