pretty normal podcast listening experience i think,
dear followers!!! would you read my faroe fic where kayne gives arthur his daughter back in such a way that arthur abandoned her to go on his whole quest and we get to see faroe track him down, chasing the aftermath of canon
John post ?? JOHN POST !!!
ohhhh everything about this is delightful
words cannot describe how excited i am to write the next chapter of “we know how the light works”
it’s gonna take some time to churn this one out cause there’s a lot i want to include and i really want to not rush the output of this one but hhhhhhhh you folks this is gonna be scrumptious when it finally comes to fruition
alright folks, i’m gonna lock in and begin writing the first draft tonight. i have no clue how long it’s going to take me to complete this chapter but once it’s done i cannot wait to share it with you all!!

I posted a new fic!!
To get over the post no letter depression
hi malevolent fandom!
seeing a lot of people who are upset and saddened at the news that malevolent will end most likely at 60 episodes, which is understandably devastating news.
this show means so many things for so many people.
it will most definitely be a hard time, once the show ends, coming to terms with the fact that the narrative so many of us adore is now seen its end come to fruition.
with this being said, there is much more to come.
harlan has already stated that he has more creative projects he wants to pursue once malevolent is complete. there are more brilliant stories to come.
speaking of brilliant stories, you folks, imagine all the wonderful fix-it and post-canon fics and au’s and art that will emerge after the series is done. the story of malevolent will continue even after the series itself is finished, as this is how stories stay alive.
also another point i wanted to add is that harlan, in the same conversation about malevolent ending, said that malevolent is a story about HOPE. it always has been and always will be. i don’t remember his exact words but i know he said something along the lines of: even if there is a period of sadness after the show ends, there will be a hopeful ending.
it is, understandably, a devastating piece of news to know that this beloved narrative will, *soon* reach its conclusion. but this is not the end of malevolent, and certainly not the end of narratives from harlan.
as much as i am saddened by the knowledge that this story will end soon, i am incredibly excited to see how harlan decides to conclude malevolent, and even more curious to see what wonderful fan works emerge after the story is complete.
yeah so sometimes i’ll sit and ask myself if, well, if i really did have any of that gravity ?
now it’s questions like this that also lead me to pondering that if you, (yes you) are perhaps quicksand ?
and the only reason i’d ask such things is simply due to the fact that i just really couldn’t tell with much clarity how deep my footprints went-
i gasped-
would anyone be interested if i made a short playlist for “we know how the light works”?
okay im gonna say it.
while i do adore ourthur/post canon au’s where oscar helps cook and bake stuff for the boys,
i genuinely cannot see that man having a normal relationship with an oven after the events of ep 37.
Bound (1996) dir. The Wachowskis Movies watched in 2024
i dont think the blindfaith enjoyers speak enough about oscar calling his dinner with arthur in benevolent a “dinner date” honestly-
@crierofcarcosa this AND !!! like oscar chooses to spend his christmas with arthur of all people. given that oscar is (most likely) a catholic priest christmas eve and christmas are a big fucking deal as far as holidays go to the christian faith, the fact that he chose to spend such a special holiday with arthur gets me in the feels.
GOD hes my FAVORITE hes such a prick and i love him
my personal fave kayne exchange from this scene was
“i think i wanna put a wager on you”
“a wager?”
“its a bet, darling,”
“i know what a wager is.”
“yeah?? not confusing it for a wheelchair?”
“what-“
although i did love all his other appearances, none of them match it properly, i want that controlled temper kayne had in the king. he teases and plays coy but later on hes just sort of explaining things (especially in intermezzo but that is sort of the purpose of that isnt it), i feel like coda gets closest to it but its just sort of off. i think the thing that nailed the kings depiction of kayne was how he really didnt care. he wanted something in all his other appearances, arthur to do a task or to play with him or john or to make a deal; but in the king, well, he just wanted to meet arthur. he didnt want him to do something, he just started some shit, BARELY explained anything (not anything that didnt go over john and arthurs head(s)).
listen,
i, for the most part am not a fan of the idea of podcasts getting a live action adaptation.
BUT-
i need you folks to know that if malevolent was ever made into a live action or even an animated adaptation i would make the most scrumptious oscar edits/fancams known to mankind

okay i think blindfaith fixed me cause soon as i made this post i started thinking about oscar and arthur and for the first time in three days my tummy doesn’t hurt.
