I would like to share some happy news!

Here's a new member the family! A girl budgie born in May of this year.

Honestly, this budgie was a surprise gift from my boss last month, but she had lost too much weight that she was hospitalized the same day before I could name her...She stayed in the vet for a week and after that, continued to visit the vet.And yesterday, finally finished our visit! During that time, i've been using a temporary name for her,Tory (meaning bird in Japanese(tori).I think this was cute too).

Now that i have decided on her name,I drew this yesterday and took it to the vet.

Her name is Gizmo!

As you can see, the name is taken from the Gremlin Gizmo.because she screams when I put my hand near her, just like when Gizmo gets wet.

this doodle is now in clinical records file.

Today,my Potato chirped exactly like Kokomo! For a moment,I had the illusion as if it was natural for Kokomo to be there this room.

Now Potato has got his energy back and looks so happy. Is it because he senses Kokomo near him?

A year ago today

Kokomo is on my hand of my drawing☺️

I am trying to tell myself that i will always be able to put Kokomo on my hand in my drawings

The results of Kokomo's pathological examination were: there was no inflammation anywhere, no disease-causing bacteria or viruses were detected, and it turned out to be an intestinal obstruction that happened to be functional.

Why...

Today, I'm going to the vet again to hear about Kokomo. I was told by phone that the detailed results of the pathological examination had come out.

i'm so terrified of learning cause of Kokomo's death and it's been hard to breathe since this morning. Even on this hot day, my teeth are chattering and I can't stop shivering.

But on the other hand, Potato have gotten a lot better! That's my only saving grace right now.

How did Potato come to terms with the loss of his best friend, Kokomo?

Look at the difference in gaze between these two.

Potato looks innocent and just happy with his friend...

Kokomo's attentive and tender eyes watching me...

It was always like this.

Ever since Kokomo left, Potato has come to stick to my cheek like this.

He has no appetite and doesn't eat much, so we go to the vet once a week

This is a picture of Kokomo when he was chatting proudly♪ he loved to talk!

Actually, I didn't want to do an autopsy and put scalpel in Kokomo.

But when he came back, the wound was not noticeable at all, and he was sleeping peacefully with this cute blinking face.

I am very grateful to my veterinarian🙏

I went to the vet last Saturday to hear Kokomo's autopsy result.

it was ileus.

The vet told me that acute pancreatitis caused his intestines to swell up and not worked at all.

In this case,it progresses at once in half a day and gets worse.

But why did it happen?

It was unclear what triggered the disease.

A detailed bacterial test will take about a month.Even with the results, the direct cause of pancreatitis may not be known.

I told the vet my regret for putting off my birds check-up and she said it happened so suddenly so it didn't matter, even if Kokomo had been checked the day before,it would not have been prevented.

Even after hearing that,I still can't help but try to remember how he's been in the past few months and whether there were any signs of illness...

everyday i look back on it

I have to make a sad report and it is very painful.

My dear Kokomo passed away on the morning of July 19th.

It was so sudden that I am still very confused.

I'm going to the vet tomorrow to hear the results of his autopsy. it's really scary because it could be 100% my mistake. But he was a special boy who changed my life, so I will accept any result.

I am keenly aware that the days I spent with him were all shining like magic. Now the magic is completely broken, the world is just gray.

I still really hope this is just a nightmare...

Good Morning Monday!

This was an impressive sight on a Monday in April.

In the midst of the vague anxiety peculiar to spring every year, I was healed by this casual sight on my way to work.

A doggy that follows a man friendly and faithfully ...and a pigeon going his own way!

Let's get start the week off with casual excitement like a child!
