Lee Colligan recently completed a marathon 2500km walk around Ireland in memory of his brother Lee & to raise money for ME charities. Here is a moving image he shared. @a_walk_for_m.e: I would have carried you the 2500km of this challenge to experience it with you brother I know this was created in relation to MND and to honour Rob Burrows who was a warrior in his own battle with MND; however, I can relate so much to this. When Josh was moderate-severe M.E and his body was not quite as sensitive I could carry him to the car to take him for drives, or carry him up the stairs to get a shower. But unfortunately as his M.E progressed being carried would trigger more symptoms and worsen his condition. We need more support and more research to help people with this awful illness…..

Just had another person come over and wonder what I was doing.
Look, it’s perfectly normal to lie out under a 4-foot/1.3-metre wide porch in the rain when it’s a balmy 9C/48F :-) --- Edited to add: I was asked to explain on Facebook: Just resting outside listening to music. I’m too ill to go for a walk. I have got bored lying inside so I like to lie outside in fresh air & nature. I have 3 hot water bottles, heated coat, etc. to help keep out the cold.
One month ago to August 8, severe ME day.
I have a Pinterest board with 564 pins on severe ME/CFS here https://www.pinterest.ie/tomkindlon/mecfs-severe-mecfs-mecfs-myalgic-encephalomyelitis/ that could be shared around. It mainly contains images but also links to videos and articles. You don't need to be on Pinterest.
