Inktober Day 16: Jean Valjean and Marius 💦
I’ve seen posts asking how Grantaire got up the stairs in the 2012 Les Mis movie if the stairs were cut down. But I’m just going to tell you that Grantaire was already upstairs. How do I know this you may ask?
These screen caps (taken from a posting of “One Day More” and E and R’s death on YouTube). The walls behind the bar are the same and the candle holders are similar as well. Meaning that Grantaire was hiding behind the bar after he went inside sometime between “Drink With Me” and the final battle.
So, know you know.
GRANTAIRE WAS ALREADY UPSTAIRS WHEN ENJOLRAS AND THE SOLDIERS CAME UP THE STAIRS.
Les Misérables - Craft Featurette
Has anyone else noticed how Grantaire appears to be rising like an ancient and vengeful creature at seeing someone touch enjolras
Has anyone else noticed Enjolras’s complete confusion and annoyance at feeling someone touch him
Has anyone else noticed Combeferre’s look up “shit’s gonna go down oh man Marius you better check yourself”
you need to listen to this ok
No, no, you know what it so heartbreaking of his rendition of Empty Chairs? Eddie Redmayne’s Marius is broken, Fra’s Marius is looking for an answer. When Alistair sings it he is angry why did MY friends had to die.
When Rob sings it, he is all of that.
#i feel like this marius survives #some of them feel irreparably shattered and immovable #but i believe that rob’s marius will survive #i can see him #middle aged #and angry so angry #the moment the barricades arise in 1848 #i can see him picking up a cane sword and a rifle #telling cosette to hold their son and daughter back #and he tears into the streets #in honor of his friends who would have done the same #if not for 1832
THEY ACTUALLY FUCKING DID IT IM SCREAMING THIS IS WHAT WE DESERVE IM LIVING i love this cast i really do
*record scratch* *freeze frame* yup that’s me. you’re probably wondering how i ended up in this situation
THIS NEW CAST JUST KEEPS GIVING AND GIVING
From this post [x]
Also trying out a simpler style because I love to suffer.
DO YOU HEAR MY CRYING?
1 June, 1832, Général Lamarque dies. His death sparks the June Rebellion in the following days.
