So I started thinking of Ed and Stede giving each other petnames and thought that they would use their own unique petnames for each other, and then my brain keeps poking at my thoughts that Ed would call Stede “light of my life” or just “light” because we already have the symbolism of Stede being a lighthouse, but also that Stede is ‘the light of Ed’s life” sort of thing. This idea won’t leave me alone, and I’d like to see others’ thoughts on this concept.

Ooh! I love this! Consider also them calling each other "my happiness" or "my happy place" or something like that because of the whole "I guess what makes Ed happy is you"/"you make Stede happy" thing.

Thinking about Ed's face when Stede told him he threw out gunpowder to make room for the marmalade... like imagine meeting someone through work and listening to them say one of the most wrong and terrifying things relating to your shared profession and going, "this is it, they're the one for me"
