Most are often rather confused when I refer to myself as a shapeshifter. To many it is difficult to fully understand the context from which I speak and how I function.
I do encourage curiosity, if thou does wish to ask me a question about my shapeshifting nature or my identity in general, my ask box is open. If perhaps thou art exploring thine own identity I find it can be helpful to hear the experiences of others. The offer stands if you wish. Ask away if it doth interest thee.
• falling asleep on the floor next to my dog
• napping in the sun
• eating miss matched scavenger sort of meals.
• brushing my tail while I’m wearing it
• instead of “making my bed” I’m “building my nest”
• pretend I’m a little critter curled up in a burrow whenever I sleep
• wearing trench coats and other longer items of clothes that can be moved like wings.
• reading up my hair all wild and walking about barefoot.
• wearing lots of second hand faux fur, so I feel all fluffy.
im bored so lemme give some inspo for what type gears you can get without raising suspicion!!
(this is aimed for those closeted therians but this can apply to anyone! even ppl who aren’t alterhuman and just enjoy the simple things in life!) (i am speaking from what helps me! but obviously you can take your own spin on this :))

(reminder that you don’t have to have gear to be a therian, it doesn’t make you any less valid)
Doesn’t always work, in fact it often doesn’t however it helps to think of everyday human things in a more creature way.
• cleaning: fixing my nest
• food shopping: hunting, same goes for eating regular meals. Leaving my room = going out to hunt
• bathing: connect with water based aspects of my kin types/forms
• going on walks: scouting my territory.
• getting dressed: helps me represent my shape shifting. Putting on my jewellery, makeup and clothes is like putting on my skin.
• self care tasks such as teeth brushing, you can imagine as if these tasks were being done by a carer onto an animal (where you are the animal).
• I like to call things by different names, my room is my nest, hands are my claws, showering is taking a bird bath, sleeping is taking a cat nap, hair brushing and nail clipping is grooming, etc.
