right i am a little bit bevved, which also makes me just about brave enough to say it.  will you lot fucking knock it off with the drama? right, i’m not being funny, but it feels like the past 2-3 weeks of the roleplay community have been nothing but toxic drama. we all come here to have a laugh, to escape the amount of shite that is the real world and generally just have ourselves a good time. and instead it’s one call out post after another. it’s one complaint after another. it’s one more act of policing on top of another act of policing. and i’m not directing this at any one individual, one roleplay, one community. but just in general. like... are y’all not tired? are y’all not sick of logging on and having five to six anons trying to gossip and cause shite? 

if you’ve got a problem with someone, message them. if you’ve deemed an incident important enough, then bring it up and vocalise it, but control the narrative. so many times i’ve seen shit end in discourse utterly unrelated to the original fact. also give people some fucking grace. we’re not all plugged in all the time. half of the people i reblog gif packs of nowadays, i don’t recognise. i couldn’t tell you any “favourite” fcs in the roleplay scene, or favourite roleplay themes. we don’t all know who is okay or not anymore. we’re expected to, but we shouldn’t be.  we all just come on here and write in an effort to escape. you don’t get in this game if everything’s alright at home. and yes there are some toxic and shitty people out there. and yes we should be aware of it and make others aware of it too. but we’re literally turning on each other, and for what? we’re taking sides and becoming divided, for what? for some words on a screen? it’s not worth it. i promise you, it’s not worth it. 

and this is not an excuse of the bad and terrible things that people do. but look at something, and ask yourself if this is worth your time. if this is worth your afternoon. it’s so easy to become entrenched in the drama, but it’ll be a hinderance in the end.
