I just think SunnyNami could be so cute! Like during the Jade Mountain arc it really feels like they lean on one another during all the bullshit that goes down at the academy. They investigate the bombing together and I think after the whole fake Glory thing happens they’d really look to each other. I think Tsunami would be able to break down around Sunny about how scared she was that Glory was dead. And I mean like. Fall apart. Whereas I think around Clay or Starflight she wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that. Maybe she could cry in front of Glory too but Glory’s off ruling her own kingdom so.

Then she’s talking again with Tsunami in Turtle’s book about the school and then in Qibli’s book Sunny is the one who convinces Tsunami to put on the earring. Which. Like. After all the shit Nami has dealt with around animus magic? The Orca statue! Anemone in general! Her general distrust for powers and magic! She must trust Sunny so much.

Plus like. They’d balance each other. Almost like a good cop, bad cop deal. Or the bright and happy/grumpy and standoffish thing Qinter and LynxFall has! And it really feels like they’re both working so hard for the good of the school and they care about the mission and the students and just.

Tsunami spends nearly her whole pov book wanting Sunny to forgive her or not be afraid of her or whatever and a big moment in that book is when they hug and you know!

Hi yes I’m still gonna talk about turtles on this blog but currently the silly dragon books are a good chunk of what’s holding my head above water so this blog might become that for a bit. Or it’ll be interchangeable between the two going forward idk.

Really all I know is that I’m currently reading a Wings of Fire fic that’s essentially ‘What if Arctic’s and Foeslayer’s story wasn’t a tragedy and they built a community of loving friends for their dragonets’ and it is doing a lot to keep my chin up and my heart hopeful. Because really what if we can build a community of loving, caring people for the future. That sounds lovely.

Back on my bullshit of getting incredibly obsessed with a new piece of media and its blorbos. So much so that I can literally think of nothing else, especially creatively.

Finishing up the second Wings of Fire series and it’s just. They should all just date right? And I don’t mean just Qibli, Winter, and Moon I mean. Just. The whole Jade Winglet. Tui T. is over here trying to resolve a love triangle and I’m in the corner chanting polycule! polycule! polycule!

At the very least. Given the way Moonwatcher lights up, all smiles when she realizes they’re all going to reunite soon. ‘Our winglet’ and she’s just like euphoric. She loves all her friends so goddamn much and that love could easily be romantic.
