Another trailer for the Six Triple Eight movie with new footage!
free museum trips are wasted on unappreciative middle schoolers. let me go

The Six Triple Eight (2024) dir. Tyler Perry
I'm still giggling over the fact that when I watched the trailer for the Six Triple Eight movie and I went "I know him!"
The him was in fact not a him. It is in fact this vehicle:
My friend owns it. It's called the Phantom. I see and ride in it all the time. Seeing it in the trailer got me all excited like I was seeing a celebrity lol.
We finally have a trailer and a release date for the Six Triple Eight movie!! December 20, 2024 on Netflix!!
I'm so so excited for this movie! And everything I see looks so good. The hair styles, the civilian outfits, the uniforms are worn correctly and with the right insignia and hats. The clips in the trailer look so good and accurate and I'm so excited!!!
It's about time we had a WWII film focused on women. Where the women are not background characters. Where the focus is not a love story. Where the women are not props for the men's stories. Finally we have a movie about what women did during World War II that isn't about the home front or nursing! Cause they did SO MUCH during the war and it's never told.
The story of the 6888th Battalion is incredible and I'm beyond thrilled to see it told this way. Me and my fellow female WWII reenactors are going to have a watch party.

When people bring their hyper kids to the butterfly museum and ask me how “magical” it must be to work here:
So I don't think I mentioned it here but....I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!
I'm now working in a Natural History museum and I've been there for 3 months as of June 8th and I love it!!!! It's still not exactly the department I want to be in (I want to be with collections) but I don't even care because I'm good at this job, the museum is TOP notch, I'm meeting so many good contacts, my team is amazing to work with. They're so fun and I feel so comfortable with everyone. My pay is pretty decent and I get some good benefits too and we get to do some fun stuff (like I just wrote scifi trivia questions for Father's Day). There are tons of ways for me to be involved with the collections department AND they hire/promote from within all the time which means I could potentially migrate into the collections department one day! But most of all, I'M BACK IN A MUSEUM!!! My happy place!!! It feels so good. I'm so happy.
So you might start seeing some fun museum things here again 😁
Wake up babes, new dinosaur just dropped!
Lokiceratops rangiformis is a cousin to triceratops- and had the largest and most ornate horns of any ceratopsian species found to date.
THEY NAMED IT AFTER LOKI BECAUSE OF THE CURLING HORNS 💚
Loki has a kickass dinosaur named after him... 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

went down a rabbit hole of newspaper clippings that the 100th bomb group website has about rosie (which you can find here) AND i found this gem
ok ik that it would have been hard to implement this into the show, especially with the subject matter of ep 9 but i would have loved to see this man drunk on vodka and partying with the russians bc there was like a "ten-day round of parties" which is just hilarious to me. also "But I drank cheerfully in the interests of good American-Soviet relationships"... sir.
