Bush is frankly the best
Mutinous glances 👀
Guys. There are so many British actors who can convey a million words with just an eyebrow. These three are some of my favorites.

Send to me by the dear @fyeahmeninroyalnavy and I needed to share it.
Premise: Bush loses his foot from a cannon ball and the events that follow.
But the best part for me was how Styles is written. Not as an oaf or a fuck up, but as a man who loves his friends and would do anything for them. Not to mention how Horatio, William, and Matthews are written!!
Excert:
Styles looked up as though in a dream. A nightmare. One of his hands was clamped in William’s, gripped so tight the flesh had gone white and red crescents were being drawn into his palm. The other was placed gently across his thighs, keeping his legs in place.
Styles didn’t mind the pain: it only anchored him, and if this minor act of transference deferred even the slightest amount of the good lieutenant's own suffering, that’d do him fine.
I teared several times during reading this and I HIGHLY recommend it.
Thank you for your kind words dear friend! I’m reblogging this because I don’t think many people know what a good read it is. It’s truly deserving of praise. 😍💙⚓️
More of this. All these guys rallying around Bush hit me HARD in the feels.
I love this brief moment in this episode where they can all just take a breath and have hope
Because I love Mister Bush and they should have continued the series…would have loved to have seen Flying Colors…
mistah boooosh
YES THEY SHOULD! I am still frustrated about that series ending where it did. It was so well done.
At least we have the 1951 movie, but it skimmed over so much of SoTL and FC that I feel rather robbed…
I echo this
Finished my Hornblower re-watchathon so I can now turn my focus back to capping and hopefully posting Murder Rooms.
However I must take a moment to express my love for Horatio Hornblower and William Bush. Favorite naval bromance, hells yes! Fucking love these two, especially Bush. What a gorgeous bastard.
Pocket Bush! He’s so tiny in these photos…
I do love the way that the movies completely threw any concerns about the chain of command out of the window in Duty all so they could let Hornblower and Bush have adventures in the French countryside together. Is it responsible military behaviour, heck no, but is it an awesome bromance, yes.
Yes
I love one (1) First Lieutenant.
Lt. William Bush in Hornblower S3
That raised eyebrow though. He’s my favorite
