Do you truly love a piece of media if you’re not making it everyone else’s problem
As it’s Wednesday, have some gifs of Mr Bush looking distractingly gorgeous.
10 characters, 10 fandoms, 10 tags
Tagged by @novelmonger. I'm assuming this is ten favorite/beloved/special-to-me characters and I'm also assuming it's supposed to be 10 different fandoms. Also, I am very sleepy, but I want to clean out these tag games before I lose track of them. So. Here goes.
- Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)
- Valancy Stirling (The Blue Castle)
- Steve Rogers (MCU)
- Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
- Annie and Hallie (Parent Trap)
- Tom Paris (Star Trek: Voyager)
- Lucy Pevensie (Narnia)
- Sara Crewe (A Little Princess)

Thanks for the tag, @kraytwriter. These are not arranged in any particular order.
- Jo Shanks from The Green Ember Series by S.D. Smith.
- Max Way and Misty Day from the fabulous Sons of the Star by @brievel. (Sorry, I couldn't separate them. They come together. Package deal.)

- Mrs Frisby from Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien.

Why don't you get some sleep Mister Kennedy? I'll stand watch for you.
Thank you, Mister Bush... but I will share the watch with you.
Hey tumblr!
Anyone know how you can watch the Hornblower series aside from buying it?
Bush in a ruffled shirt. Nuff said.
@musewrangler I need to watch this, where do I find it?
Ah Mr. Bush. You are marvelous sir
Mr Bush in his waistcoat. Just because.
My dear Mr. Bush
Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗
Ooh, thank you!
It’s hard to choose (I’ve written a lot of stuff over the years) but here goes:
A Rose by Any Other Name (Hornblower) : Archie, off watch and bored, becomes curious about Bush's first name. (I still really like the dialogue in this; hadn’t written Hornblower fic in years when it came to me)
Close Quarters (Hornblower): Major Cotard is not happy with his accommodation. (Bush vs Cotard, plus mischief from William the ship’s cat. One I had great fun with.)
Underground (Doctor Who): A trip to Artus Prime goes awry for the Doctor and Lucie, as the TARDIS lands somewhere rather unexpected. (One of a few attempts to write a sort of Big Finish adventure, which means it actually has structure and a plot!)
Mistaken Identity/Unreality (Doctor Who, also featuring Paul McGann, India Fisher and others, the only time I’ve ever included real people in my fic and it comes with sincere apologies to all concerned!): The TARDIS lands in Bristol, 2003. (Started as a joke and got slightly out of hand, but I’m still fond of it.)
Hello Goodbye (Doctor Who): 31st of December, 2019. The Doctor has visited Grace every year on the same day, but this time it’s different. (Angst ahoy. Almost made me cry while writing the end.)
These are the ones I like most right now. I haven’t even included any of my Phantom or Sherlock Holmes fics, which would probably feature on a longer list.
Bush by lamp and candlelight, Mutiny and Retribution.
"Call yourselves a gun crew? We'd be blown out of the water!"
I love this scene
