@musewrangler

Where I write Star Wars, return to my artistic roots, and appreciate tall ships. In between wrangling muses I have a day job and adore baking. I’m on ao3 as wishfulthinking1979.

Ok I am finally getting to this fun ask. My life is one giant blur at the moment. xD

Thank you friend! @kanerallels

  1. My descent is pretty generically Northern European---25% Swedish, 25% Norwegian, 25% German, 25% Scottish. {I'm stupidly proud of the Scottish part xD}
  2. I love hats. Bring back hat wearing. No, no, not ballcaps. HATS. Forties and fifties. Proper hats. :D Heck, I'd go full Edwardian, but it gets really uncomfortable after a while. ;D
  3. I am at an age where my back can seize for NO REASON. As I discovered recently. So dumb.
  4. It is always sad to put away my Christmas coffee mugs. BUT. Then I will be so thrilled to pull them out again next year.
  5. Walking for miles on a sandy beach is so MUCH EASIER than anywhere else. Alas I live nine hours from the nearest ocean.

tag yourself as essays I've written/am writing

Les Miserables and Victor Hugo's Grounding In Humanity: an overview

all-nighters, rewarmed forgotten coffee, dissatisfaction but pride at being finished with something, messy buns or hasty ponytails, words that flow better in conversation than on paper, flailing hands when talking, grinning explanations of things you can't quite understand, autumn, newness and settling in, harsh wind, bright stars, constantly distracted, the feeling of something not quite having clicked yet

Victor Hugo's Four Archetypes version 2: Electric Boogaloo

quiet afternoons, overstepped Constant Comment tea, not wanting to lose momentum, too many adjectives/adverbs, slightly pretentious, wired headphones, open window to the sounds of traffic, being pleased with final results, making something good from something less good, self-discipline, really good playlists

The Tragedy of Macbeth and a School Bomber: the Shakespearean Roots of Heathers

root beer at midnight, writing best when sleep-deprived, flailing hands (again), slightly unhinged vibes, big smiles and excited eyes, weird ideas but you like them, doing things just for fun, summertime, hours alone, unfinished projects, oversized flannels, going to farmer's markets, the feeling of wanting to share something but not knowing how

"She's been dead since the beginning": prequels as tragedies

poetry, iced tea, long coats, cutting your own bangs, busy weekends, change but it's good, settling in, not feeling quite at home, waxing poetic about random things, screaming along to intense songs, wandering around town, scrunchies always on your wrist, chipped nail polish

Good Friday, Cracks in the World, and Just Another Tuesday: devastating earthquakes of the 20th and 21st centuries and seismology in overview

niche passion projects, library book sales, research rabbit trails, watching TV way too late at night, flavored coffee, big squishy pillows, curtains open for light, fancy earrings, getting distracted reading, speaking from personal experience, compassion and sadness, making plans for the future, chapped lips, wanting to travel, cutting your own bangs, maps
