just trying to find the most reliable information that I can within witchblr. asks are welcome, I will try to point you in the right direction if I'm unsure of the answer. 🌻🍄🍃 Personally, I am oriented around responsibly using the nature around me in my craft and I have many personal associations with many of my local plant life. I do not worship any gods, but I do leave offerings to the local Fair Folk and have a shrine for them. I post about the Fair Folk quite often, but they are a bit dangerous to work with so I recommend researching beyond my blog. I do post information that I don't really use that's for others, as I try to make this blog a reliable place for myself as well as others. For this specific bath bomb, I’ve made it with the intent of banishing what needs to be released from me so that there is space for me to heal and grow again after going through some very toxic situations and relationships.
Bath Bomb Recipe!
*Baking Soda ½ Cup
*Citric Acid ¼ Cup
*Cornstarch ¼ Cup
*Sea Salt ¼ Cup
*Jojoba Oil 3 Tsp (for this I used coconut oil that I have warmed up until it became liquid)
*Essential Oil 1 Tsp (for this one I did a blend of Black Pine, Amber, Lavender)
*Liquid Black Food Colouring 1 Tbsp (if you want a richer colour, you can add more later as you’re mixing the wet ingredient to the dry)
*Dried Rose Petals, Lavender, Rose Buds, Mugwort (I eyeballed the amount I wanted)
*Water (small amount added to spray bottle)
You want to put all your dry ingredients into a bowl and mix them together with a whisk. In a spray bottle, add in your carrier oil (Jojoba, Coconut… etc) and your essential oils. Also add in the liquid food colouring of choice. Shake it up. If it seems a bit too thick, add a tiny bit of water and shake it again. You will be spraying this mixture into the dry mixture (only a few sprays at a time) and mixing it. You will keep repeating this until the mixture starts to clump together. The reasoning for not adding all the liquids in together at once is that it will cause the citric acid to fix away completely. Once everything is mixed well, spoon them into the mold and make sure to pack it down tightly. Let it sit in the fridge or freezer to let it harden. When I took these out, they were still a bit squishy, so I had to re-shape them a bit, but they turned out pretty good for a first time try. I’m letting the rest of the bath bombs to sit out to dry before storing them in a container.
Use: Roses are strongly associated with love, passion and memory. With this ritual bath, it will aid in banishing persistent negative memories that hurt you and repelling unwanted romantic and sexual attentions.
What you will need:
A new moon night
Sea salt
Rose Petals (dried or fresh)
Candles (tea lights work fine and white or black can be used)
Storm water (optional)
Rosemary (optional - for added boost on the memory and purification)
Directions:
New moon cycles are great for banishments and new beginnings, because of this you will want to have your bath on the night of the new moon. Set your circle within your bathroom. Now you will need to pull out your candles. The number will vary but you will want one candle per memory or persistent pursuer of you for this ritual. If you want it to be a generalized ritual, a pillar candle is recommended. Light your candle(s) thinking specifically about what you want to banish and once that is done, begin to draw up your bath water and turn out the lights so you are left with your candle light.
While you are filling the tub, pour in some storm water if you plan to use it. The amount is up to you. If you are not using storm water, put in the salt now so it can have time to dissolve. Now throw in your rose petals and your rosemary too if you are going to use it. After you have filled the tub, climb in and soak. Now is the hard part. If you are banishing painful memories, you will need to think on them again, how they made you feel, why they hurt so much. If you are trying to banish and repel unwanted attentions, you will need to think on them and acknowledge why they make you uncomfortable. Take a deep breath in, hold it and then exhale, releasing the memory with it. State to yourself that what’s done, is done and it will not change now. Acknowledge that it hurt and then state that you no longer give it power over you.
When you are finished with that memory (or person) drip some of your bath water onto the candle, extinguishing the flame, picturing it’s influence being snuffed from your life. Repeat until you have gone through all of your candles. If you would like to sit a little longer in your bath, you may do so and focus on the water cleansing you of what holds you down. Get out of the bath when you are ready and do a bit of self care. :3

Let’s just start a series of crash courses in witchcraft, since sometimes we need to learn things the quick and dirty way. Today, let’s talk about wards.
What are wards?
Wards are protective energy barriers. They keep things out. You can place them around your home, certain rooms, even on certain objects. With practice and clear intentions, you can focus the wards to block out everything or only certain things. We’ll get to that in a bit.
Why should I ward my space and my things?
Wards can keep out all sorts of things you don’t want in your home. They can block out negative entities, wayward spirits, mischievous entities, demons, and (if you’re really good at what you’re doing) even gods. Some people ward their divination tools so they know there are no spirits tampering with the results.
So what do I need to do first?
Cleanse. This is very important. Wards are kind of like walls, or perhaps more accurately, bubbles. If you don’t clean the space first, you might trap things inside your ward bubble. You do not want that. There are lots of methods of cleansing, from burning sage to spritzing oil-infused water. Find a method you’re comfortable with and cleanse everything you’re going to be warding.
I’ve cleansed my home/item. Now what?
Now we ward. I’m going to give you a couple methods. Let’s start with my favorite, incense warding.
Incense warding can also be done with spritzes of water/essential oil blends or herb-infused water if you can’t have smoke in your space. Whichever you’re using, you want to have a blend of protective herbs. Bay leaves, cinnamon, ginger, mustard seed, and salt are some great options that you can find in the grocery store, no fancy witch shop necessary. If you’re using incense, make sure you’re using natural incense and not super cheap stuff that’s artificially scented. The magic is in the herbs, and you won’t get that from fake scents.
How to Incense/Spritz Ward an Item
Smoke or spray item.
Visualize the smoke or spray clinging to the item and wrapping around it like a tight blanket, protecting it from anything that would cause harm (or interference, etc.).
How to Incense/Spritz Ward Your Space
Pick a place to start. I always start at my altar, but it’s up to you. If you’re doing multiple floors, start either at the top or bottom floor.
Moving continuously to your right, smoke or spray along the walls and door frames. As you go, imagine a barrier being formed around the walls, ceiling, and floor, pushing outwards to fill the room. Visualize the smoke or spray forming the barrier to keep out anything that will do you harm. [If you have a hard time with visualization, you can simply focus on the intent of the smoke or spray keeping things out.]
Keep moving right, following the layout of your home, making sure you get all the closet spaces. You basically want to outline the entire area you’re protecting, whether it’s you’re room or your whole house.
For multiple floors, repeat on each level.
For big layouts where there are rooms in the middle, go around those rooms as well.
I like to reinforce the wards over outside doors, windows, and mirrors. These are all passages of sorts, and when I reach them, I use the incense to draw a pentagram in the air over them. This is entirely up to you.
You’re done when you’ve reached the point where you began.
So why do we go to the right? Is that important?
Kind of. Going to the right is like going clockwise. It’s about making things and progression, where going to the left or counter-clockwise is about deconstruction or reversal. [I read this idea in a witchy book a long time ago and will try to find a source when I can. If you honestly don’t feel it makes a difference, do whatever you’re comfortable with.]
Can I place wards that keep out certain things but not others?
Sure. When you’re going around your space/warding your item, your intent is what’s important. I like to ward out entities that mean harm - it’s nice and general and doesn’t keep the fae out. Some people might want certain spirits and not others. Have your intentions clear in your mind as you place your wards.
That’s neat and all, but what are some other ways to ward?
Let’s list a few.
Symbol/Sigil Wards
Choose (or make) a symbol or sigil that has protective properties. I’ve done this with Pluto’s astrological symbol because I worship him and it’s my way of being like, “Hey, Pluto. Please protect me, kthanxbai.” Pentagrams are nice and basic witchy/pagan symbols if you like them.
Draw the symbol over doors and windows. You do not literally have to draw it. It can be in water, incense smoke, or just your finger against the surface if you want.
As you’re drawing, make sure you have your intentions in mind - that nothing harmful can pass through this door, that the windows remain closed against entities, etc.
Energy Bubbles (if you have control over your energy)
Pick an item - any item.
Get your warding intentions in mind.
Channel lots of energy into the item. Visualize it emanating from the item in a bubble to fill your space.
If you’ve got mad skillz, you can form the bubble to the walls and be super exact with where its barriers are.
Vocal Wards
If you like spoken (or thought) spells, come up with a small chant to protect your space.
You can repeat this chant as you focus on your item being protected or as you walk around your home, protecting every room.
This is really great to incorporate into basically any other form of warding and gives your magic an extra bit of oomph.
I’ve heard wards can “fade” over time. True or false?
Wards are just energy. Like all energies, they can disperse and weaken over time, or if something particularly nasty puts effort into destroying them. Redo your wards every so often (I do mine every few months, but it’s up to you), and especially before spiritual interactions. I also like to do mine after I’ve had lots of company, to kind of clear out family’s lingering energies and reinforce what I don’t want in my house.
In general, the intent of your wards is the most important part. Know what you want to keep out. This concludes our crash course on warding. Now go forth and protect some stuff!
I am worried that an evil spirit is harassing me. Sometimes as I am lying in bed, wide awake & not sleepy at all, I feel something sit down on the edge of my bed (I can feel the mattress sink), or something slowly pulls the comforter off my bed, or I can feel a weight on my leg, slowly moving upwards. I feel a strong malevolent presence as this is happening & I am absolutely terrified. I just freeze & keep my eyes closed. (1/2)
(2/2) When I am awake late at night, sitting up on my laptop, either while I am home alone, or my mother is asleep in her room, I hear sounds downstairs. The sound of a chair being dragged across the floor, or someone bumping into furniture. FYI we do not have a cat & my dog is in the room w/ me… O_O I do also have night terrors & I awaken to see a shadow man standing beside my bed staring at me, or a faceless man in my bed that I FELT caressing me, but then he grabs my neck & it HURTS!
Yeah Anon you have a serious problem. You need to get to work on your entire house. This is going to take all day, so start when you have free time. And you will have to work on your whole house, so if that is a problem with your parents you need to sort that out.
First, create a protection charm. Put it on immediately and don’t take it off for a couple of weeks. This is a very good one that I have had a lot of success with. Cross Protection. If you have hag-stones they make a wonderful protective amulet as well. Do this first step right now after you finish reading this post.
Second, you need to gather a few things. You need a good amount of salt. Plain table salt is fine. You will need at least 8 ounces of it (1 cup). Get as much rosemary as possible. If you have any rosemary growing in your yard or nearby, get as many branches of it as you possibly can. As you cut, ask the rosemary to bring you protection. If all you have is dried rosemary that will do just fine - see if you can go to a bulk food store and buy about a pound of it, just to be sure you have enough. Also get bay leaves, fresh or dried. About 10 bay leaves I feel will work. You can also collect cloves or cinnamon. Absolutely do not use sage.
Third, time to take a purifying bath. If you have fresh rosemary branches, toss them directly in the bath. If you have dried, wrap them up in a cloth or filter so you don’t spend an hour picking rosemary leaves out of your bath. Also put in one more protective or purifying plant, such as bay or cloves. Then put in at least 4 ounces of salt, more if you can.
While the bath fills, sweep out the entire room, starting in the furthest corner and going towards the door. Announce, “Everything goes out of here, no spirit may remain in here.” Then take a bit of your salt dissolved in water and draw a protective sigil on the door with your fingers. A cross in a circle is a good symbol and will work fine; a pentacle will work as well. As you draw this sigil say, “this place is protected, no evil may come here, no spirit may pass this threshold. Draw a sigil over the bathroom window as well. Now you have a protected space to purify yourself.
Pop right in to the bath. Be sure to bring a wash cloth. Respectfully request that the powers of Water, Rosemary, Salt, and whatever else you have brought exorcise the power of evil spirits from you. Ask that they purify you from all malevolent energies, and protect you from all harm. Soaking the rag in your bath, begin washing from the top of your head down to your feet. As you do so, repeat a chant or charm. Something like, “all evil is gone from me; no spirits may touch me” will work. Wash as much of your body as you can reach, always stroking downwards. Be extra sure to wash the soles of your feet.
Then, lay in the bath for a while. Soak in the protective and healing energies of the allies you have brought around you. Think about how they are surrounding you and protecting you, and that this protection will last long after the bath is over. Rest in the bath for as long as you like. When you are done, air-dry. If you happen to be sticky, deal with it for as long as possible before you rinse off.
Fourth, time to banish. Do this immediately after the bath. Dress in comfortable clothes, and be extra-sure you are wearing your protective amulet. If you can shield, do that now as well. Go to your bedroom and open a window. Light a tea light if you have one, just as a point of focus. Otherwise simply say these words, or similar words: “Spirit that torments me, I command you to come before me. You are banished from my home. You are banished from my life. Leave now, and never return. You are not welcome here, and you may not exist here any longer. Begone!”
Get angry about it. This thing has been abusing you and laughing about it. Put some force behind your words. And Mean It. Have no fear or doubts in your heart that the spirit will not leave. It will, and you will force it to. And if it puts up a fight, we will fight back and make it wish that it never crossed you.
Fifth, your entire house needs a serious cleansing and protections put in place. You must do this right after you banish.
Begin in the furthest corner of your house from the front door. Sprinkle salt all throughout the room, then sweep or vacuum it up. Start in the furthest corner and move towards the doorway. Continue your chant: “All evil is gone from here, no bad spirits may remain here.” Repeat this for every room and closet in the house. I know it is hard work - you can do it.
Your goal is to sweep everything towards the front door to kick it out. If you need to, leave the salt sweepings in one area and then go back to another part of the house and continue sweeping forward. When you have swept the entire house, sweep the salt out over the threshold of the front door. Command: “Begone, all evil that lived here! You are banished. All malevolent spirits are banished, all bad magic is banished. This house is clean and safe.”
Once the entire house is swept out, you need to protect it. Make a strong brew on the stove with rosemary, bay, and salt. Throw in some black pepper if you like. When it begins to boil, stir it clockwise and chant over it: “This brew protects, this brew keeps me safe. Where it rests, there may be no evil. Where it passes, there may be no harm.” Continue this spell or a spell like it, until the brew is very dark or you intuit that it is done. Strain it out well, and take the brew and a paintbrush to your room (which should be freshly swept).
Dip your paintbrush in the brew (a nice big brush works well, but any will do) and paint a protective sigil on your bedroom door. It should dry to be invisible, so don’t worry about that. The same cross or pentagram will work fine. Paint a sigil on the other 3 walls of your room, on each window, upon the floor, and on the ceiling. As you paint each sigil, continue with the chanting: “This place is protected. No evil may come here. No harm may come to me here.”
Go to the front and back doors of your house. Paint this sigil on the outside of these doors, and any other doors that lead in to your house. If you have a fireplace, paint this sigil over or under the hearth. Then, do the same with every window in your house.
Sixth, change your sheets.
I hope this helps, Anon. I believe it will either totally eliminate or at least significantly reduce your problems. Warning though - the spirit may do shitty things like tap on your windows or doors, since it will be outside the house even though it can no longer come in. When you are rested and have the time, extend protections beyond your house and to the edge of the property, or as far around as you can manage.
Whimsy's "Leave Me Alone, No Really Leave Me The Fuck Alone" Curse

“I don’t like you, so leave me alone.
I’m tired of your shit, so you need to just go.
Until you can learn to speak to/about me nicely
I will bind you to discord with your friends
And an overwhelming stress that won’t let you be.
