STARISH + QUARTET NIGHT reaction to a S/O who can't learn instruments due to chronic pain

Natsuki:

Holds you tight and tells you that it's okay. He's sad with and for you that you cant learn his, or any instrument for that matter, but he tells you that it's okay and, if you want, he will play for you because music is something that can connect people in any way, shape, and form.

Tokiya:

Most likely to handle this calmly. So what, you cant learn an instrument? Your value to him is not defined by that. Sure it's a nice thought of you to learn, for him nonetheless, but it's not important. Instead, he tells you that he will sing to you whenever you want it and he will teach you the basics like reading sheet music and once you're far enough, asking for your input on his songs.

Cecil:

Hugs you immediately and tells you it's okay. You're his princess nonetheless and no amount of playing an instrument or not playing it will change that. Tries to take your mind off of it by finding different interests.

Ren:

Much like Cecil, he will tell you that it won't define you and will take your mind off of it. So what? Not playing along to songs with him is far from a deal breaker. Plus it just gives him more freedom to show off to you instead of you showing off to him.

Otoya:

Lowkey relieved that he doesnt have to worry about you getting calluses. Still, when he sees that it upsets you, he will wrap an arm around you and tell you that, no matter what, you'll always be the melody to him. 10/10 will write songs on his guitar for you to try and cheer you up.

Syo:

Probably has the easiest time understanding. His heart problems made him weak a lot of times and he sometimes had a hard time picking up his own violin because it was just physically too straining on his body. 10/10 comfort and offers to get you both ice cream and spend the evening inside.

Masato:

Listens and understands. Tells you he doesn't expect anything from you and will hold you dear no matter what. Piano is his life, yes, but that doesn't mean you aren't. Offers to show you things anyways if you want, and will embrace you softly.

Reiji:

Confused 101 but not ignorant. He will tell you that instead of picking up an instrument, you could always learn the ins and outs of the music business and become a director or a manager to an idol/a band.

Ranmaru:

Has a hard time understanding because even when he feels pain (physical and not) he will just push through it? However, once he realizes that it's actually a problem for you, he will awkwardly comfort you and tell you that you impress him by just being with him, no need to learn an instrument.

Camus:

Hard time understanding pt. 2. Will think it's an excuse at first and you have a lot of convincing to do, but he will realize sooner or later and then scold you about thinking that that actually would bother him. You're special to be with him in the first place and you don't need to learn his instrument just to prove yourself. Will remind you in several ways that you're perfect without all that.

Ai:

Immediately searches for remedies/cures/medications that you could possibly take if it is really important to you. Though there is (as far as google tells me ;-;) no permanent cure, he will try to make the best out of this situation for you. Also gently reminds you that he can teach you everything about music without you actually playing the instrument. Sure, it will be harder to not be hands on, but he tells you again and again that, for you, nothing is impossible.
