#KEEP THIS ALIVE

i dont think its a joke people on twitter have already said they cant access it anymore in some countries, and columbia records posted this:

Conservatives will talk about “cancel culture” and be okay with this

wow i wonder if that 300 year gap could be explained by any outside factors…….whoa! for some reason it lines up with the timeline of britain’s invasion and subsequent colonization of ireland! wild, huh? i wonder if the two are connected in some way? i guess the world will never know….

“why do the Irish hate the English so much? It couldn’t have been *that* bad!!”

This was in place till 1973.

Ok, but this is such a wonderful example showing how kids develop - particularly their sense of humour.

The littlest kids (age 4) aren't very clear about what needs doing - they suggest things from their life like toy cars or real cars

A bit older (age 5 and 6) and they suggest more practical things that would work in other situations - cut the boat, row it, use a crane, push it. They've got a bit of experience of problem solving, so they apply it. They haven't grasped the scale of the boat at all.

Kids age 7-9 are good at thinking of innovative or practical solutions that would definitely work - little explosions, push it really hard with a big piston, dig it out - but would be hard to actually do.

From age 10 is where the real fun starts, though, because kids start to be consistently good at understanding humour, either of the "what am I, a boat engineer?" kind like "just turn the wheel to the left" or "just straighten it out" or the absolute genius of Lyra's answer. I know plenty of adults who couldn't write something as funny as that.

I’m about to expose the men. Whenever you ask a man’s height, he’ll add an inch. So if he’s 6 foot, he’ll say he’s 6’1 and if he’s 6’2, he’ll say he’s 6’3.

Not me though. I subtract 4. I say I’m 5’9. Especially when there’s other men in the room. And then I just watch them panic. Not only have you exposed his lie, but now he thinks he’s 5’3.

What I do is not a crime, but it should be.
