Jace describing his first night at Porter's house
Congratulations to me on this 0 note banger, apparently I'm the only one embracing the fact that starbreaker is a carnal relationship
It's honestly so funny that we haven't been given an inkling of a motivation for Jace's role in all of this. Like we got so much lore about the Rat Grinders and Porter and then Jace is just there.
I still think this is the explanation we've been looking for
Jace describing his first night at Porter's house
This last episode has me feeling like I need to make a conspiracy board here’s what we learned:
- Devil’s Honey was originally used to lie during prayer (insane implications)
- Rogue Teacher is a ghost
- Ratgrinders went to the mountains of chaos “many times”
- Kipperlilly has anger issues and has been talking about Riz since Freshman year
- Kipperlilly goes to a cemetery in Ashbury (and Brennan implied there’s a connection between this and the Rogue Teacher being a ghost)
- Henry Hopclap is concerned about Reuben Hopclap, and Jace Stardiamond is aggressively shutting down Henry’s attempts to discuss it
- Lola Embers told Jace Stardiamond about fake the Lucy Frostblade episode on the “Complicated Women” podcast
- Jace Stardiamond “always wants Reuben off doing other stuff”
- Jace Stardiamond is the one who made Reuben insist that Frosty Fair had to be at the Thistlespring tree
- Reuben just canceled his tour
After this episode, I'm really convinced that Jace (and maybe Porter) are using the Ratgrinders to bring back Ankarna rather than the Ratgrinders being the driving force themselves. Jace is so involved in Reuben's life that Rueben's agent is cc'ing him on emails about podcast appearances? Jace is the one who wanted Frosty Fair held at the Thistlespring tree? He's threatening Henry for trying to TALK about Reuben's education?
I don't think that the Ratgrinders are Jace's co-conspirators. I think that they're Jace's pawns.
Love a good conspiracy board - I think it's important to point out that the Ratgrinders (Ivy for sure) think that Lucy is alive, because of Fig's deception at the Shrimp Jump party. The "multiple assailants" who killed Lucy is I think a red herring designed to make them suspect the Ratgrinders and not perhaps multiple faculty members?
