Slash Night is a celebration of the things we read and create because we can, because we want to, and because honestly, the world’s a little better for having 2 million+ fanworks and an internet full of smut in it.
So, every six months or so, in Brighton (and sometimes London), fandom – specifically, fanfic – gets an airing in public at this event. There are talks about fandom, live performances and fic readings – from the crack to the viscerally obscene. It’s a beautiful thing.
