Vintage press photo dated from 1962 features Ms. Dao Tien playing chess, as she claimed to be unable to find work as an exotic dancer.. While dancing in Miami, she’d incurred the wrath of nightclub owners by refusing to “mix” with club patrons, after dancing onstage.. ie. working as a “B-girl” to encourage the purchase of expensive drinks, etc.  Danielle claimed she’d been blacklisted from performing locally, as a result of this refusal..

Vintage 50’s-era menu card for ‘Bimbo’s 365 CLUB’ in San Francisco, California.. A popular Burlesque nightclub, located on 365 Market Street (later, at 1025 Columbus Avenue).. It featured a unique “Girl In A Fish Bowl” attraction, that used mirrors to project an image of a nude model (posing in the Basement) into a Fish Bowl that resided on the Main Floor!
