2001: A Space Odyssey (MGM, 1969) One Sheet (27" X 41"). Psychedelic Eye Style.

...These posters were used exclusively for the campaigns as wilding posters around New York City and other metropolitan areas. Wilding posters were meant to be posted on temporary construction sight walls and anywhere that one could paste a one sheet poster! Thus, these are the rarest of all 2001: A Space Odyssey one sheets...

Douglas Rain, who performed for 32 seasons with the Stratford Festival in Ontario but was perhaps most famous for one faceless movie role — the voice of the HAL 9000 computer in Stanley Kubrick’s landmark 1968 film, “2001: A Space Odyssey” — died on Sunday in St. Marys, Ontario. He was 90.

Keir Dullea, as an astronaut, dismantling the HAL 9000 computer in “2001.” As voiced by Mr. Rain, the computer went from being cool to coldly malevolent.
