I’ve had a super rough few days, so I took a little time for myself to finish up this story.  Mary and that_which_yields kindly beta-ed this story for me and did a fantastic job.  I’m hoping to make it a series--one that happens in small, complete-able bits (rather than a giant 200K+ albatros around my neck for almost a decade...).  :)

I DID IT!!!  I finally managed to write and edit the next chapter and am even two days ahead of my projected schedule!  #winning!  And there’s more drafted in the bank for 65 and 66!  #doublewinning!

INFINITE thanks to @lilragekitten for help dealing with P&P’s messy timeline.  It turns out that Steve and Tony have only been together for three weeks if we count it starting from “Maybe you should ask me to dinner again sometime...”  Madness, right?

please help make my fiction more accessible for the visually impaired

Dear friends,

It has been brought to my attention that because I embed images in my stories they’re not clear and welcoming for people with visual impairments.  To remedy the situation, I’m learning how to add the image descriptions to the HTML so that, even though it won’t show for people without visual impairments, the screen reader can give a description to anyone who needs one. 

The only problem is that I’m trying really hard to press forward with new chapters of P&P while also working a pretty darn demanding full time job.  Going through to do all the image descriptions will take a while and feels daunting to me at the moment.  So it occurred to me that this might be something to crowdsource and that people might be willing to help with.

I’ve made a google sheets that’s open access.  If you’d like to write a description of one of the images--descriptions needed most urgently for the spreadsheets and post-its in the Surrender series--just add the Title of the story, the chapter where the image can be found, and your description of it (and the name you’d like used in your shout-out!).  When I can, I’ll embed the descriptions in the HTML.  You could describe one image, three, ten--whatever strikes your fancy and whatever you have time for.  (I’ll do some too of course!  I just felt overwhelmed at the thought of doing all of them…)  And so that there’s no redundancy, you can see what’s already been done in the sheet.
