Yes, that’s totally my headcanon too @belovedrival . I remember thinking that at the time and that moment being so poignant. We rarely see the stalwart housekeeper shaken, especially in public.

Friends, romans, Downtonites - lend me your eyes!

So, this is me, doing a massive FIC REC and drawing your attention to the stellar talents of Edward Carson, whose stories take detailed looks at the life of our favourite butler, and the woman his heart belongs to. Whilst I don’t always agree with the outcome of a story, I always adore the way they are written, and that’s far more important for me.

(I’m doing this as the author does not have a presence on tumblr. And I checked with them that it was ok to do this!!!!)

It’s a rare thing indeed to find an author who deleves so deeply into canon, inspects it, and holds it’s flaws up to the microscope, whilst also attempting to address the issues raised in canon. The story I’ve linked to in a detailed look at the route to the Carson’s wedding, but other stories cover Mr Green, Becky, and Carson’s relationship with Mary to mention just a few.

You should all be reading this wonderful author’s work, and more importantly, you should be reviewing it like mad!

Funko POP! Vinyl: Downton Abbey.

I was just wondering how many of us Downton Abbey fans would like Funko to start making POP! Vinyl figures of our favorite TV show.

If you could like or reblog but not both, it’s just so I know how many of us would like them to become real.

Well, as you can guess my choses would be Andith, Chelsie, Richobel,  Baxley & Banna… what am i saying i would buy them all as well even the character i didn’t like.

People who perform manual labor should be not only given high and liveable wages, but unlimited access to healthcare and physical therapy to help manage the myriad conditions that come from doing back-breaking work.

Like this is not an absurd concept. It bothers me that people think that it is.
