I feel like people ignore Sam's bond with the Impala and it makes me sad :/ Just because he's not erotically obsessed with it and doesn't need to possess it the way Dean does, doesn't mean it's not of huge significance for Sam. That's not just his brother's car or his father's car, that's the only real home Sam had growing up! Dean still had vague memories of the apple pie life before Mary's death, but for Sam the Impala was all he had. He was the one who actually called it home in Baby, and he was the one who overcame Lucifer because of the Impala - Dean alone wasn't enough, it was the Impala with all its happy memories, all the love stored in it that made him able to stop and that prompted him to call to mind the love he and Dean share, giving him the power to take complete control over Lucifer and jump into the cage. Sam literally saved the world because of his relationship to the Impala! Why is no one acknowledging that :(
