I have lore surrounding red highlights on SeaWings that I plan to divulge into at a later post. But basically, Albatross and Lagoon's grandmother was a deep-sea SeaWing and some of her traits were passed down to her children and descendants, this is also why I plan to give Anemone pink highlights, as that gene is still in the royal family but over generations has faded
Which arc would you say is the best?
Arc 1! Despite my favourite book (Escaping Peril) being from Arc 2 I think the first one is overall better in terms of the plot and structure. I also got so bored from Arc 3 that I stopped reading halfway through A Dangerous Gift 😭

Ohhh my god where do I even start,,, he's tied with Peril for my favourite character, he's the reason MudWings are my favourite tribe, I ADORE him so much and I hate how he got dumbed down after his book
He's sooo much more than 'big dumb guy who likes food' is he a bit slow and naive sometimes? Sure! Is he dumb? No! God, I love his inner conflict in TDP about his 'inner monster' and how he isn't and never was how the Guardians saw him and it's up to HIM to decide who he gets to be
His relationship with his friends, and sibs when he meets them- how much he worries about their wellbeing and how that strengthens his want to end the war, and also the way he views the dragons in the arena as just... regular dragons, like him- trapped and forced to fight- he sees the 'humanity' in others the way most dragons wouldn't (like Peril and even Fjord) and wants to end this war with as little death as possible. GOD I could rant about him all day. Also he's funny!! Justice for Clay, he's unfortunately not as popular as he deserves to be

However, this could be seen as a symbol of inspiration- for he is a blank canvas, a dragon with unlimited possibilities.

I need to learn to do fullbodies so I naturally started with one of the hardest WoF characters to draw 😭 I always found it weird how despite Sunny's colouration being such a massive part of her story- almost every other SandWing is just as yellow??? At least in the GNs
