I hope you had a wonderful birthday, dear 💋!!!! Thank you for tagging me, and your wonderful blog. It is one of my favorites, I’ve learned a lot about Gene, previously unknown to me. He would love your efforts to keep his legacy alive, too! Keep up your good work 👍!

What do I love most about him? I’m afraid, I’m not able to commit to something special. I love him as a human being with strengths and weaknesses (like all of us), his charisma and radiant smile, his incredible creativity as choreographer/producer, and, of course, as an amazing dancer who created his own, unique style. He has always been an inspiration to me … never give up on working to realize your dreams! 

I guess, it is no surprise that my favorite Gene movie is “Singin’ In The Rain”! This masterpiece is the peak of his career, it could not been better … no matter how you look at it! Besides, Donald O’Connor was the best dancing partner he ever had! These two were such a perfect match, had such an enormous chemistry and synchronicity … it knocks me out!!!

There are two numbers, I don’t want to leave out here, because I love them so much: ‘Alter Ego Dance’ in “Cover Girl” (1944) and his stunning dance on roller skates (‘I Like Myself’) in “It’s Always Fair Weather” (1955).

Wherever you are now, Gene … you’ll always be loved and remembered as one of the greatest dancers of all time ❤!!!!!
