i haven't talked about varg, candy's wolf complanion, enough. he has a a big impact in their story for he has saved them from final death.
right after candy escaped from their sire, they ran away to the desert because they knew nothing about the world of kindred and they didn't belong in the world of humans either, so they isolated themself again, wandering the desert. they almost died, from the sun and from the hunger, but then they found him. also dying and beat just like they are, and candy took mercy on him and then that bond they know had drived them to fight, to try and live in this world, that they don't have to isolate themself because they are still capable of connection. and it's like both of them were alone and dying and unwilling to fight to live, but they formed this bond which was their only drive to live for so long.
